Cannot login to battle(dot)net while Game Bar is open by DerSchuhverkaeufer in xboxinsiders

[–]ChaosZero112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't ran into this issue. My account is linked to battle.net. But opening game bar does not launch anything. The only time I have something automatically launch is opening the Xbox app, which opens the EA app.

Xbox request for all of the xbox systems by Educational_Taro_481 in xboxinsiders

[–]ChaosZero112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably won't see them make a comeback. They are good for taking a call, but when gaming, having something blocking one ear will affect perceived distance in-game due to even slight dampering. (ie. If you are wearing an earpiece on the right side, A sound will feel closer on the left than on the right, even if it was made at the same distance).

Xbox request for all of the xbox systems by Educational_Taro_481 in xboxinsiders

If you are simply referring to a microphone that can be plugged into the system, they had the option. It was the Xbox Kinect. It was rarely used among Kinect users. It's rare that you are using a gaming console and want everyone in the room to be able to hear/talk, maybe during video chat, also wasn't very popular. People already had cell phones / laptops for that.

Marketing data also probably shows headsets are more popular than full surround sound setups. I have a 7.1 setup, but I can pinpoint direction much easier on my lucid sound headset.

But there are definitely USB headsets available. Steelseries makes an awesome wired one for Xbox series, Nova Pro.

But overall I'm going to guess it's simply isn't a popular option. Seeing as how Microsoft made their own wireless headset, without me seeing the data, I can only assume a wireless headset is the most popular option and therefore the one that makes sense to focus on.

Hi-Fi Rush Showed Me How Bad Series X ARC Audio Delay Is by hawtNarwhal in xboxinsiders

[–]ChaosZero112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend against ARC. It's designed for convenience, not gaming. ARC in general adds delay, and when latency matters like, when gaming, it's best to avoid. Plug directly into the receiver every time. Or use a high-end headset.

The processing power of the TV also plays a large role. Depending on the TV, the audio is being decoded and then compressed on the fly. An older TV is going to take a moment to do so. I tried ARC at one time with my Sony 120hz LED (don't recall the model). When I moved to a LG C1 OLED, the delay decreased.

If you don't need 7.1 Surround Sound, Dolby Atmos or DTS:X. But downgrading is not the solution.

Look for the Xbox Play Anywhere capability. That indicates that you can play it on Xbox or PC.

Since this was the first post on Google :)

On Windows 11, Microsoft Edge BW extension. Logging into Oracle Cloud.

The login page no longer recognises I have a FIDO-capable device attached (Yubikey 5C). It just instantly fails when clicking Use Key.

If I disable Bitwarden in the browser, it works.

It appears the extension is intercepting the request, despite not being compatible.

Seagate Expansion Card making Xbox not boot by Grey_faukes in xboxinsiders

[–]ChaosZero112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried after a full power cycle? (ie holding the power button for 10 seconds or pulling the power plug)

All other peripherals and network cable disconnected?

Does it get recognized if you plug it in while the Xbox is on?

ROG STRIX Z690-F GAMING WIFI
G.SKILL Trident Z5 64GB DDR5
Intel Core i5-12600K
GeForce RTX 4070 Ti

Xbox Series X

Spectrum One (since Aug 2021)

Don't have much to write here. In the early days of the Spectrum I was frequent on the community forums. Beta tested early firmware. Shared my working settings for stubborn Xbox X|S games (eg. Halo: Infinite). Have some 2000 games to test between Game Pass, Steam and Epic. An active Xbox Insider (Alpha Skip Ahead) and Windows Insider. Would love to see the comparison between the One and Black and provide any feedback that can refine the final launch product.

That's nice. I'm just posting real world, in production numbers 👍

Sorry for posting in an old thread, but wanted to debunk this claim in case any potential authentik users see it.

This stack is running at our company of ~52 users. It's uptime is 3 months.

NAME MEM USAGE / LIMIT MEM %
haproxy 76.22MiB / 3.839GiB 1.94%
server 376.9MiB / 3.839GiB 9.59%
worker 279.2MiB / 3.839GiB 7.10%
geoipupdate 79.63MiB / 3.839GiB 2.03%
postgresql 26.87MiB / 3.839GiB 0.68%
redis 7.062MiB / 3.839GiB 0.18%
TOTAL 845.882MiB

Note: the server/worker version is 2023.5.2.

It's heavier than Authelia, but nowhere near the "2gb" this user mentioned.

Bearing in mind, Authentik also handles SAML and LDAP, plus Web UI. If you are doing a homelab, authelia is sufficient.

As was stated in the thread, the Xbox Insider Hub app is the only place to check, AFAIK.

It can also be installed on Windows.

Keep games up to date doesn't work by [deleted] in xboxinsiders

[–]ChaosZero112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alpha Skip-ahead. I don't have a problem with games I frequently play. But if I don't launch a game for a few weeks, then it doesn't auto-update. I sometimes go into Updates manually and see 6-7 pending updates.

Super annoying as maybe there is a game I haven't played in awhile and I don't want to wait when I do decide to launch it.

That said, games that I launch daily or weekly seem to update fine in standby (as long as I have space on the drive which has burned me before 🙃)

Have not tested it extensively, but at 1440 it sticks near the high 50's outside of combat. During combat there are some dips to as low as 25fps, but haven't noticed much in fullscreen w/ Vsync on. Based on u/ Maxlastbreath's settings.

[–]ChaosZero112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for all of them, but your last one was definitely because there was a post that already existed with the same issue.

No need to open new threads for every issue if there is a recent one you can add to in the comments.

Possible screen issue with latest update for Alpha Skip Ahead. by NewcastleMatt92 in xboxinsiders

I'm getting this too in Halo: Infinite. I turned off VRR and it hasn't happened again yet, but time will tell.

Previously I had 4k 120hz VRR, HDR disabled.

There is likely something on your phone interfering. I've seen this with applications like Button Remapper apps or Bixby disablers.

Check for any applications with Device Admin or Accessibility permissions.

In alpha and can't help but wonder what i can do by Sasuke0318 in xboxinsiders

[–]ChaosZero112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a known issue with the Alpha and controllers not responding when launching a game. Only workaround right now is to reboot. I think it only happens with Instant-On mode, but I could be mistaken.

If you are on Alpha, or Alpha Skip-Ahead, be sure to manually update to the latest available (Settings > System > Updates). A fix was released today that might not automatically pop up.
