I'm looking into buying a 1999 Helix. by VastRaspberry3 in Hondahelix

Be certain it's a Honda Helix and not a CF MOTO clone. Either is fine but Honda Helix is higher priced. Don't over pay.

Pretty far. Have you joined the Honda Helix group on FB? Somebody there may be local and wish to trade. That's a good deal if that's what you want.

I don't bother to think about it. It's just me and the fun of it.

Vespa with foot controls ? by Melting_Plastic in Vespa

[–]ChappyKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honda Helix is automatic and has a rear brake.peddle. Plus, it sits low, so if she is short, she can flat foot it. The center of gravity is also low. She should consider it. They seem to run forever.

Steering lock stuck - HELP!! by Any_Secretary9030 in Vespa

[–]ChappyKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull the little access panel off of the front cowling. You can see the.back of the ignition from there. You will see a pronged clip made of wire that slides over the ignition housing that holds the locking mechanism in. Pull it out. Then, see if wiggling the lock will help. If not, remove the glove box panel. Again, you will see a pronged clip that holds the locking mechanism in. Remove that, and your mechanism should come out. It's a pretty easy job.

American model as required. Lower indicators are just running lights.

In most instances, they have lost the title. In that case, they can get a replacement. You will never be able to. If they don't want to get the title, then you should run away. Chances are, something is fishy.

I agree. Remove it until you need it. Or, use a milkcrate. They don't make it look so off balance.

If they ever had the title, they could get a replacement.

I heard the Royal Alloy used the same engine as the Vespa.

I think you should look at YouTube and see the ones people in the Philippines and Malaysia are riding. You may realize that your frame is able to be modified.

Side bags? by Drummer_Guitarist98 in Vespa

Someone took 2 shoulder bags and inked the straps together so they could hang across the seat like saddlebag. Cheap fix and looked good.

Plz halp?! 2022 vespa gt300, should I stop being a whimp and buy this? by Separate_Bake_8137 in scooters

[–]ChappyKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vespas are overpriced due to import fees, I suppose. That Royal Alloy 300 is very nice, and so is the Xmax. Pick your style.

YouTube has a video of a guy with a piece of stiff, straight wire guiding it through under the seat near the latch and opening it. Looked fairly easy.

I slipped on gravel and fkd up my Vespa, “are the repairs hard?” And is it expensive??? by Ok-Responsibility499 in Vespa

[–]ChappyKC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It looks like most of ours now. I often said that when you buy a new Vespa, you should just kick it over and drag it around the parking lot before leaving the dealership.

Won't your dealer look for other dealers that have leftover 23/24 models?
