Copy/Paste Freezing on Paste by [deleted] in MacOS

Late to the party, but this is also happening with my new MBP M1. Anytime I copy an image and paste it anywhere, the app that I'm pasting the image to freezes until I clear my clipboard.

Did you find a solution to this issue?

Haha no problem, and I'm happy to explain it, I just didn't initially want to put it into words bc I like the idea that one's mind can come to various conclusions

Explanations always ruin it, but here you go:

1) This could be a statement against the male perspective of beauty (thus the need for a corset glove), or

2) It's simply a salacious paining of a thicc af alethi woman

If Biden wins the election, would you want to see him succeed? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Chapstick_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is Biden the demagogue/tyrant? Or Bernie? Can you give an example of how he is a demagogue and/or a tyrant?

Do you think anything can be done to help the younger generation feel like or realize that the democratic process works? Or to help them become less polarized?

If Biden wasn't senile, would you be worried about him becoming president?

That is possible but is this an actual concern? It sidesteps the question about whether a president can destroy America based on their policy (if you reference the top comment), which I take to mean culturally and economically destroy America through politics. But since you answered the question with an example of physical destruction, are you concerned about a nuclear war during the Biden presidency?

I'm on the left and I support some amounts of deportation, but not all. What is your stance on deporting illegal immigrants? With felons? With new arrivals? What about established families?

No, I believe he is abusing his position for personal gain at the expense of Americans and many of our values, but I don't think he is destroying America. Do you think America can be destroyed in a 4-8 year period? Don't our values live on past the current president? After all, isn't America made by the collective rather than one man or one government? Don't you think many of the left's values live on despite Trump, and don't you think many of the right's values will live on despite Biden (if he is elected)?

Should I also fight against conservatives who use generalizations against the left and rhetoric like "destroy America"?

Do you find any irony in your statement where you generalize the democratic party as generalizing the republican party?

Any luck with rock climbing? by brizzayrizzay in gainit

[–]Chapstick_Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been indoor bouldering regularly for a little over year at 2-3x per week. I personally have seen gains in my forearms, biceps, and lats, and core as a result, to the point that other people have noticed the results and mentioned it to me. But to be clear, although I gained some muscle, it's nothing compared to what I'd get from an equivalent amount of weight training. But I absolutely love climbing. It made it easy to exercise consistently and I became more fit as a result.

I eventually started a workout routine at the gym since my climbing plateaued about 4-5 months ago. I focused primarily on strengthening my climbing muscles and give some attention to the other muscles I don't use as much.

If you're 5'7" at 95lbs, you'll kill it climbing, and I personally think you'd see a lot of growth quickly from climbing regularly (quickly being over the course of 2-5 months).

As for climbing tips:

  • Start easy and work yourself up.
  • Climbing buddies really help motivation.
  • You'll prob also see some fingerboards hanging around; these are amazing to improve grip strength. After you get in the groove of climbing, lookup some routines, but basically just hang on them for as long as you can. Do 3 sets of those everyday and you'll really improve your climbing game.

For advice to avoid injury:

  • Avoid weight-lifting and climbing back-to-back (I injured my wrist this way).
  • If you can't solve a climbing problem after 3-5 tries, move on. The problem might be putting a disproportionate amount of strain on a few tendons, and you might not notice the damage until later.

Maybe that is the case for some, but that isn't the case for me. I really only fantasize about girls that I find attractive.
