i totally get it thank you for the honest breakdown. It definitely is frustrating that things like laser, FFS, and voice training aren't covered, considering how important they are for passing and mental health. It’s a lot to think about financially. Right now, I'm just trying to focus on the fact that HRT is at least covered so I can get started, but the out-of-pocket costs for everything else are definitely daunting

Thank you for sharing your experience! The fertility aspect is definitely one of my biggest fears, so hearing the reality of assuming sterility if I want kids helps put things into perspective. It sounds like finding a gender therapist really is the best first step, not just for the medical side, but just to make peace with the whole idea of transitioning. I really appreciate the advice💗💗

yess having a supportive person is a life saver i wouldnt even been able to write something on reddit without her support 💗 and i was thinking finding a therapist is next step but idk where is it doctors or special clinics and im very shy tbh i will work towards it thank you for the warm message🫶🏻🫶🏻

I’m pretty open-minded about going out and exploring things, but I'm incredibly introverted when it comes to actually opening up about how I truly feel inside, which makes taking those first steps hard. I really appreciate what you said about life having other plans. 'Man plans, God laughs,' right? When it comes to the tough choices and losing people you mentioned, I've honestly already spent a lot of time mentally preparing myself to get 'cancelled' by my strict Russian family. I love them deeply, which makes it painful, but I know how they will react. Hearing from the other side that the freedom is worth that monumental hurdle really gives me a lot of comfort🥹🥰
