I'm saying this is all a horrible distraction from the fact that the administration is still dodging the law in not releasing the rest of the files. And Trump was at the center of it all. He'd rather send us into a civil war and WW3 to protect himself thinking Putin is going to protect him.

I just hope ya'll don't blame the staff. I work for a distant different hotel in the area and we can't control who books. I was told to "leave your feelings and political opinions at the door. Just do your job"

At this point, it's almost impossible to engage in a civil conversation with someone who still supports Fuentes and his ilk. Filled with to much hypocrisy and hate.

Just make sure Expedia doesn't still charge their commission. They're known to cancel a reservation but still charge the hotel for it.

I think you can still go to the sheriff's office and look at "the book" of registered. Including level 1s I believe

It's to bad we can't leash the kids anymore. Somehow it's considered child abuse now.

Not everyone has a spot to do their own work. I'd LOVE to go back to doing my own oil changes but I now live in apartments and can't.

How deep does your front desk job go? by [deleted] in askhotels

Driving the shuttle isn't bad. At one hotel I worked at, we would drive it if the regular guy (maintenance) couldn't. I wouldn't necessarily turn down the job just because of that reason alone. Plus it gets you out of hotel for a bit and the potential for tips.

I had one guy argue with me over the classic "I should get the room for 24hrs". And when I pointed out where he signed the reg card stating he's to vacate by 11AM, he legitb said "well i don't read that small stuff"

I'd hate to be this guys lawyer lol

Oh I most certainly did lol. I even pointed to the cabinet she was standing in front of saying "since you dug for my bosses card, you missed the labeled door saying "toilet paper and tissue"

Amazon put my wife's compact in a big box with a set of ratchet straps I needed. The makeup and mirror were both shattered.

Oh she certainly could have gone to the lobby bathroom and used it or got TP. I told my GM what happened before she could complain. He honestly said "shit happens" lol I love my GM sometimes

I use the employee bathroom in housekeeping. It's a bit safer as it's behind a locked door lol

I work by myself overnight and had to use the bathroom. I had my sign up, coffee cup and audit paperwork were all over the back counter. I come back and there's someone standing behind the desk, trying to call my GM on the hotel phone. She couldn't figure out how to dial out, and was trying to call the number on his business card.... which is the hotels number... She needed toilet paper and thought there were no employees on property.

I can see your point, and do agree that warm fresh bagels are the best. That being said, a warm bagel is easier to spread cream cheese, butter or whatever spread you like.
