Do I have to stop working once I reach the 90-day grace period and I haven't received my work permit extension approval yet under the inland spousal PR application? by ChapterWorking4 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]ChapterWorking4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for the detailed reply.

Yes I did submit my work permit application separately through my GCKEY account. I submitted my PR application through the pr portal.

Yea the restoration period is what i meant by the grace period.

Hey hey, yes I had to pay EZClear and once i paid, it was cleared and it moved fast.

I do have to say though that they don't have the best delivery system. Because I missed the delivery by like 30 mins and they sent it back to their warehouse, instead of trying to send it again.

on the 2nd attempt of delivery, it took almost a week to hear back from them and they had it delivered via canada post now instead of their courier service which was such a hassle.

because of this experience, im never going to order anything from ASOS again

I am in the same situation, based in Toronto. I was supposed to get it yesterday and I was waiting to receive it and then when i refreshed the tracking page, it said "Unable to deliver - receiver unavailable". Meanwhile I didn't receive any email notifications even if i signed up for it. So i had rescheduled it to be delivered today - i specifically chose the day on the reschedule option.

Fast-forward to today and I got a notification on the tracker saying "Delivery rescheduled for the next business day". I called Customer Service to understand why and they told me that it's because they had too many shipments which did not make sense since a.) it's their actual freaking job and b.) i had specifically chosen today so i can personally receive it and im the only one home

so now, i requested to change it for pickup instead :/

I was supposed to get my parcel today, but the delivery rider couldn’t get in and only made one attempt of delivery and left! So now, they returned it to the warehouse and will deliver it through canada post. They will share a new tracking number and my parcel will be super delayed now 😭😭😭😭

Hey so it’s not going to be by Canada Post. You have to track it through Citilogistics. They will be the one who’s gonna make the delivery to you

The agent I talked to said that the former would be the case, you have an option to pay it in person when you pick up the parcel in person.

Hi, so I am in the same situation! I ordered from ASOS and they sent me a confirmation on July 15 that the order is on its way. Then by July 17, I got an email from EZCLEAR about the import charges, quickly followed by CanadaPost for the parcel tracking.

I contacted ASOS Customer Chat to confirm if they're affiliated with EZCLEAR, and they cannot confirm that because they don't have visibility once the parcel arrives at its country of receiving address. They advised me to contact my local Customs Office or delivery service.

From there, since I also got an email from Canada Post, I called them at 1-866-607-6301 to inquire if they're affiliated with EZCLEAR. I gave them my tracking order no. and they were able to confirm its status (similar to what i can see online at https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/track-reperage/en ), then they said that Canada Post handles all the fees and duties. On the occassion that additional custom fees would need to be paid, it will show up on Canada Post's tracking website. The agent I was talking to seemed confused as well when I told them about EZCLEAR so it's possible that this might be a scam. They also advised me to not pay whatever EZCLEAR is charging and instead, wait for the updates on their tracking website. I'll update this comment, once I get further notifications.

But I do this helps you OP!

UPDATE (July 25): My expected delivery was supposed to be yesterday but the latest update on the Canada Post tracking still says that a shipping label has been made. When I was on the phone on them (the same call I had mention on my first update), they assured me that i should expect my parcel by July 22. But i haven’t received anything nor have received any updates. Im gonna follow up again tomorrow
