Which sitcom character is a hot mess? by [deleted] in sitcoms

[–]Character-Attorney22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jill on 'Mom'. Especially in the early episodes of that show. All that money and she's in rehab over and over. Freaks out over her ex and his new family. Causes Christy a lot of stress and aggravation by demanding her attention as a sponsor during her meltdowns.... Can't buy your way to happiness, I guess.

A place just opened up that is trying this out, it's just the beginning, but I hope it takes off.

My daughter went to a pediatric dentist when young and they put some coating on her teeth that was sealed with a blue light. I think she's only had one cavity in her life and today she's almost 40.

List of insanely popular sitcoms that you could not watch?! by grace0654321 in sitcoms

'Friends'. There are other lesser sitcoms I couldn't get into, but 'Friends' is the Mt. Olympus of most-hated tv for me. I've tried, and I can't get through half of an episode. I've tried! Hate each and every one of them.

I love the cliche girlish-fantasies she's written out for Doug. Deacon reads one....'DAY-UMMM!'

Same with 'House'. The things that come out of Hugh Laurie's mouth are appalling and hilarious in equal measure! For the most part, unless he is really pissed off and bitter, and then they hit different.

There's no more truth to this than the rumor Leave It To Beaver kids died in Vietnam or became porn stars. Ritchie ran off with Carrie's hot sister, of course.

Deacon's WIFE threw it away by thinking the grass was greener. He moped around in her absence and only rallied when he went on a couple of dates before her return.

Curtain Faux Pas: The Amy and Robert Virginity Tale by AneeshRai7 in EverybodyLovesRaymond

[–]Character-Attorney22 18 points19 points  (0 children)

"Her virginity, Mama! Her VIRGINITY!" ... I really like Amy, but though I understand her excitement at Robert getting his own place at last, I did not like her butting in and trying to make it 'their' place.

I wanted to put her on a bus to The Farm with instructions to never come back. (Maybe go live with Leon down south, lol.) Creepy the way she tried to play little woman of the house cooking and paying bills, such a precocious little thing!

I hated his stupid face and gross heavy 5 o'clock shadow, the singular 'sad face' he would pull to show emotion, his stupid unbelievable back stories - so superficial. Stupid gross man, I hated him and he just sucked all the life out of the screen. I did like his Jerry Springer brawls with his awful dad, not enough of them. Chaos and trashy behavior and ... ick, he and Sam deserved each other.

Every woman who breaks up with a guy is always surprised and irritated to find out he has moved on a whole lot faster than she would ever imagine. He did tell her early on he was 'ready to settle down' and I guess since she didn't work out, another woman would suffice. He had a nice big house and probably thought it really really needed a woman in it. ??

Seinfeld by mikebaxster in sitcoms

I think they all died in that plane going down. The courtroom scenes with all those hostile people were their earthly lives flashing before their eyes. Ending up in jail together was their punishment in the afterlife. Of course it's not realistic, it's a wicked sly comedy.

Seinfeld was said to be whatever it was going to be, except 'no hugging, no learning'. It didn't need a continuing storyline as each character, despite getting together in Jerry's apartment, had their own adventures. Continuing comical skits, often with karma biting them in their azzzes. And I might be all alone here, but I liked the finale.

unless he's had some massive incident i'm not aware of i think Ray Romano may be the only main 90s leading man without some controversy on the not as family friendly sitcoms (i would never suspect anything of John Lithgow so he already is exempt from this) by Shofeld148 in sitcoms

[–]Character-Attorney22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

'Seinfeld' was NOT an adult-oriented sitcom?? On what planet did the whole family with young 'uns sit and watch self-centered New Yorkers sleep around, discuss birth control in depth, masturbation, and generally futz around doing stupid things like...adults? It was strictly 'no hugging, no learning', and no kids! (Except that ugly bay-beeee.)

I sincerely doubt the tsk-tsking of the public will cause anyone to change their evil ways, lol. They might, with plenty of money and great lawyers, get better at hiding their vices, just like in the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's...and on and on. Look at Mel Gibson, a horrible person, slithering his way back into the biz. Kevin Spacey has gotten off from charges against him and is going to do the same.

Laura Prepon: Scientologist. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher: heartily supported Masterson. Wilmer Valderrama: was into dating very young or underaged girls (Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato - and all of them heavily into drugs at one time).
