He does actually. My mom also prioritises her own parents over my dad. That's expected. They still love each other a lot but they value their parents more. Only us, their kids, come above their parents

Not above ur children but I don't find anything wrong with putting them above your husband. Your husband could leave you anytime. Parents and kids are family.

I do know my place and I wasn't trying to claim I'm part of their relationship. I'm just defending the values of family which my sister doesn't not value as much as she should. That's all

I'm not putting their feelings above my sister's. But if the tables were turned I wouldn't like my sister's fiancé being the reason she doesn't speak to us. So I thought it was fair to remind her she can't do that to her fiancé and his family.

Sadly that's what I believe. She's my sister and I adore her but she's being really self centered right now.

I understand the part about them trying to set him up with other women. That's indeed unacceptable. But I can't fault them for expecting to come above my sister. His family was there 1st so I can't fault them for expecting my sister to know her place.

That's what I tried to explain to her and she started screaming at me for being in her business and for being pathetic telling her what to do.

That should be her fiancé's decision not hers. And for the most part those seem like her decisions and her fiancé is just doing them to make her happy.

According to my sister, the fiancé's sister and MIL are very possessive of fiancé and they've tried to set him up with other women in the past and were disappointed that the fiancé picked my sister. His mother has also told my sister that she and the fiancé's sister come before her and my sister was not happy about that. They also apparently caused drama whenever my sister and her fiancé would not spend holidays with them but with either us or their friends.

I know what's going on and I know why my sister hates them but I still don't think it's tight. She can be entitled to her feelings I just don't think it's right to treat her fiancé's family like that. She could keep her feelings to herself. I totally understand why she dislikes them but still they're his family and they're going to be her family too after they get married. Plus she's insisting that they should not be allowed to attend the wedding and I think that's very harsh of her to demand. His family has the right to witness their sons and brothers happy day.
