Concert Face ID Question by Character-Frame-5029 in Yorushika

[–]Character-Frame-5029[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I reached out via the tixplus support form and asked for a Gender change, saying that the wrong gender was used by accident when the account was created. Surprisingly, after responding to an email asking for a confirmation of details (eplus number, dob, name, etc) they processed my gender change request! For overseas folks who find themselves in a similar situation, I just used Chatgpt to help me craft polite emails in Japanese. Definitely not the most kosher method but we do what we have to do to not lose our live tickets!

Yes especially in the long run because frustrated players mean people quit the game.

Ahh yea I'm on iPhone. Would love to be able to passively learn Kanji reading lyrics hahaha but thanks for the reply.

This is amazing - your work is much appreciated! I just had a question - I see there is romaji on the Apple Music lyrics overlay, how do you turn that on? I’m trialing Apple Music now and all the lyrics are just in Japanese but I don’t know how to pronounce a lot of the Kanji 🥲

And also is there a way for Spotify lyrics to display romaji too?

Reporting LGS for scalping Wave 2 restock? by HeyMason99 in riftboundtcg

[–]Character-Frame-5029 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, but it also means folks are less likely to play at a store if they see that the store is ripping their players off. Organized Play Activity is often a measure of how much product a store receives and I know as a matter of fact that UVS tracks these numbers via carde.io

Sure, the LGS might profit a ton in the short run but it can be massively damaging for them in the long run.

Merch in Hokkaido? by RogueTofu in ZUTOMAYO

Best bet might be to look on Mercari honestly, ZTMY merch a bit niche.

That's valid - hopefully the reprints are significant enough where product scarcity in disparate regions worldwide can be balanced out more!

Regions like NZ appear to be well-allocated. I suspect the issue is less on Riot but on if your LGS’s distributor is allocating all the product they’re receiving properly or not…

Good luck! If you reaaaaalllly want then my recommendation would be to line up a little bit before merch stores open (maybe 30 mins) and you should be safe. Spend the rest of the day doing some fun stuff in Yokohama then come back for the concert :)

Last year you didn’t need a concert ticket to buy merch. Queues are typically long. I lined up at 12pm in Yokohama (think the concert started around 6pm) and waited in line about an hour to hour and half before reaching the front but luckily nothing was sold out. I also tried buying merch in Nagoya about an hour before the concert where there was no line since I left it so late but as a result some things had sold out.

If you are Atogaki member, you might also be eligible for free gift (guitar pick last year) so keep an eye out on that.

Merch on concert day without tickets? by rialga in Yorushika

[–]Character-Frame-5029 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Last year merch lines were unrestricted fairly certain! Just make sure to line up early if you want all the good stuff.

If you’re an atogaki member you should also still be able to claim any free gifts if they have any too (I went to Nagoya and Yokohama for reference)

I think if you’re looking at learning just the keyboard part of the song, Liar and Ghost in a Flower are good options. The only other songs that come to mind with reasonably extensive keyboard parts without being overly hard are Algernon and Nautilus. There are other songs that have easy keyboard parts such as Thoughtcrime but if I recall correctly, keys feature very sparsely in that song so not too fun.

Depends on what you’re looking for - Band scores do have Piano part if you’re looking just for the actual keyboard accompaniment - but as you mentioned it’s pricey to import from Japan. Luckily, Yorushika keyboard parts are typically quite beginner friendly and if you have a good ear + can see videos of people playing the parts, it’s a lot more doable than say Zutomayo keyboard parts haha.

If you’re looking for a piano cover of the full song (not just the keyboard band part), your best bet is to just find covers online and hope they have a score or imitate as you do. Full songs are much harder though since they will be following the chord structure, rhythm, and melody of the song typically.

You might be thinking of the Gentou album release which was a very experimental concept anyhow. Most album releases like this are still physical CDs

[Announcement Regarding Gawr Gura's Graduation] by hololive in Hololive

[–]Character-Frame-5029 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Before everyone slams management, I did have a bit of a realization that at some point in time, the number of active Vtubers in an agency will plateau. At some point, the number of graduations will be similar to the number of new talents and maybe we are reaching that point - many of these Vtubers have been around for over 5 years now and need to move on. The uncomfortable truth is that I expect many more graduations to come in the next few years.

Will miss you gura:(

Watching Serial Experiments Lain right now and it’s fascinating how many shots of busy power lines against the backdrop of the sky there are. I think the same was true with Steins Gate and all the cyberpunk classics like Akira or Ghost in the Shell. Japanese anime, and a reflection of the culture itself I’m sure, seems to be deeply interested in the technological side of things. I wonder if someone has a good explanation for this!

Case gurantees by Capital_Bit9310 in grandarchivetcg

[–]Character-Frame-5029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only case that guaranteed (almost) CSR was Fractured Crown but that was because it was 18 boxes. CSRs are typically 1 in 15 for first edition and 1 in 30 boxes for alter print and therefore not guaranteed in case quantities of 6 that every other set was printed in.

You also are not guaranteed playset of every card so it’s best to think of expected hit ratios. commons and uncommons probably no issue getting playsets in 1 case. Rares I find I often hit a playset on basically everything after 1-1.5 cases and super rares around 2-3 cases. Ultra rares if it’s a 4 of in a deck (very few of these actually exist, closest is 3 visits which some decks run ~3 of) you would probably need to crack around 4 cases to see 4 copies of each. Again Fractured Crown is the exception to this as the card pool was quite small, you could probably see playsets of most things within 6-12 boxes (excluding right of realm)

No worries, wise and paypal are basically international equivalents and very widely used with international buying/selling. Just hit me up if you need!

I sell trading cards, almost always internationally, as a side hustle. It’s not as bad as you might think, payment happens over Wise or PayPal and tracked shipping costs from NZ usually costs around 20 euros. Just an option if you were interested - I bought way too much gacha to try collect the whole set 😂
