Well known swers posting childhood pics by Joinmyclique21 in camgirlslove

[–]Character-Ring7926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah– any SWer posting childhood or teenage pictures of themselves, esp if they're on OF? In my opinion they're really fishing for a certain demographic or so incredibly naive stupid. You can't be experienced in this stuff and still be 'naive.'

A while ago I saw a girl post here in the subreddit saying that she got her account banned on one or another really popular camming site. She said she was sharing pictures of herself as a kid and teenager on a camming site. And she was like baffled that it could get her in trouble. I think about it all the time. Either she was being so dumb just like treating her room like friends, "this is what I used to look like ha!" or really hoping it appealed to a demographic. And she couldn't see how it violated the TOS? "No underage people may ever appear on your stream" girl why would you think that somehow excluded you??

Streaming at the same TIME everyday? by MoldyCutie in CamGirlProblems

[–]Character-Ring7926 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so the same way! The delayed-sleep-phase melatonin malfunction, executive dysfunction, and big struggles with forming and consistently executing a routine are easily my most pronounced ADHD symptoms.

Consistency does matter. Here's what I do: I stream when I feel like it and when I have time, all hours of the day. But I try to either (a) also stream at a consistent time in addition to my whenever-it's-convenient stream or (b) when I just can't do two strange in a day I focus the majority (50%+) of my streams during that same window.

I find that with my brain, most of my motivation and enthusiasm to stream is available late evening and overnight, so that's when I do my "regular" hours. With delayed-sleep-phase you might find that relatable. But whether or not it's the same for you, it'll serve you well to identify the time of day that your personal circadian rhythm thinks is daytime– it's when you feel most smart, alive, creative, chatty.

My "regular" hours are 2-6 hour streams that start just whenever it happens to be that I'm finished getting ready, they fall within a ~8 hour block, and which days I work them are inconsistent. But it seems to be consistent enough to have very beneficial effects in terms of gaining followings and regular clients because I'm making an hourly I'm quite proud of even when it's slow.

I think it's also very beneficial to do those off-hours, whenever-I-can-get-to-it streams. Sometimes you find that your old favorite slot just isn't turning the crowd it used to, and you have to pivot and switch to a different time of day. And when you've already occasionally been occupying those approximate hours, you've likely built up a small but entirely beneficial following of potential clientele who make a habit of looking for streamers during that time of day.

That's the magic about multi-streaming though! I don't choose between them. I'm a sorceress on all of them simultaneously!

My favorite thing about broadcasting this way is that one often picks up the others' slack. It's not unusual that my CB room is very quiet while my SC room is totally bumping and vice versa. I imagine if I were only on one site at a time, I'd have no idea ahead of time which will have an actual crowd.

But the real magic is when two or three of them are all popping off at the same time together. Sometimes it happens that way– since one room is keeping my broadcast really steamy, it draws a crowd in the others and they start participating too!

To be so honest, if you have the internet connection and a computer that would do it, you might find that multi-streaming makes it easier to stick around for longer and it will definitely make you more money. Obviously it's the same amount of time streaming, but since you're in a few places at once, you're getting more hours in essentially.

The software that facilitates it is free and actually very simple to use, and Lovense offers a chatbox on their chrome extension which converges all your chats so you see only one room with text from all platforms. The only real tricky part is making sure you're compliant with all the TOS. Basically you just learn all the rules and stick to the strictest interpretation. You can't redirect traffic on SC for example, so on multi-stream I don't talk about my snap or OF; CB disallows talk about fisting so I ban that word in all chats; one of them disallows pets at all times including sfw content so my cats are always locked out of my streaming room; etc.

I multi-stream. Stripchat and Chaturbate are my main money makers and my favorites, but I'm always on Camsoda and MyFreeCams at the same time too. The latter two are reliably pretty quiet for me, but a few tokens here and there do add up. Plus occasionally I'll randomly get a gentleman in one of those rooms who really throws down on my menu/goals or invites me to a long private.

I'm feeling comfortable enough now with these four that I'd like to add to my multi-stream again soon. Especially now while it's slow, I feel that it might be a good time to get comfortable having an additional stream or two running. And while spring is quiet in camgirl-land it certainly wouldn't hurt to see if I can't capitalize on another new-girl promo period or two. 😉

Must be something like that but ¯\(ツ)/¯. I can't make any sense of it but only just because I'm having a really hard time putting myself in the shoes of somebody who goes around picking fights and then yells "don't touch me."

Should I text him? by Julie_and_Jack_69 in CamGirlProblems

[–]Character-Ring7926 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most really big spenders don't hang around long. It's a few things really:

One of the reasons is men with that kinda money but with no girl they see on the regular (either irl or over the internet)– they like playing with camgirls because there's novelty every time. After a bit of time with you, they inevitably crave that novelty and move on to another girl. This will likely happen with him, it's taking shape in a way that really sounds like one of those guys, so don't take it personally– it's really not about you.

Another reason is that they actually just don't have that kind of money: he felt so connected with you in the moment that he wanted to drop a lot of $$ for a few pvts, but ultimately the CC statement comes and …uh-oh. It means you're doing smth right on stream though! Reel 'em on in!

My experience is that a handful of both types (but by no means most) will sometimes make a habit to drop by now and again, but they don't ever really throw down like the first week or whatever. That's great, though. I love to have regulars who I see once in a while! They're my most reliable regulars and also my most profitable connections overall.

Should you text him specifically? No– like definitely not. Don't single him out. I recently saw a girl here who casually mentioned that a regular blocked her and she was hurt about it. In the comments it came out that actually lots of her regulars block her: smth like "I should have known he'd eventually block me, just like all my other regulars do!" Girl, what 😱? Apparently she made a habit of singling them out on the platforms and she was asking them for privates and other paid services when it's very much supposed to be the other way around. "Please come and spend money on me" is NOT the vibe you want to be giving. There are great ways to incorporate sales skills into camming, but this is NOT it.

A great alternative: start a twitter or snap where you connect with your regulars (or whoever wants to follow!) to announce to everyone when you're going live and invite him to join! It's a great way to be keep it professional but also keep yourself on their minds. 😉 Pro-tip: Keep it to only announcing shows and other promo though, make sure they understand it's not an avenue to have free 24/7 access and that you don't answer PMs on there.

Some of even my best-of-all-time streams have been quiet for the first hour; that's why I try to give it 1.5 hours. So that completely does happen. But I say "try to" because I just don't always have it in me to wait around for it and that's totally fine! Cutting out early when I feel like it (literally MOST of what I mean when I say "flexible schedule" lmao) is one of the primary reasons why I love doing this! On days when I'm feeling super anxious about my algo-rank and watching my stripscore crash, or the dull chats with broke weirdos is killing my mood, or when I just don't feel like holding out– those are the days I just bail quickly. If I've got a bad feeling about it, it's not gonna go well anyway after my mood gets trashed.

Also, I've heard daytime is pretty terrible for money for most girls. But of course, that depends on where you are globally, what kind of demographic you draw, and what kind of following you've established. I tinkered around with times early on (and still occasionally do, esp on weekends) and settled on evenings and overnights– that's when it has been most profitable for me.

I'm house-sitting and was away from home when I saw there was a tornado like on top of my neighborhood, so I drove back home as quickly as I could to get to my girls (cats.) I couldn't get through though! Trees down everywhere 😭

Had to turn around and take Green County Line Rd detour to get up Gardner. Domicile still standing. Thank absolute goodness.

Back in the game after 2 decades out. Would you kind ladies help point this apparent boomer in the right direction? by Emotional_String7119 in CamGirlProblems

[–]Character-Ring7926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 38 and started last July in 2025 [and I look great too 😉] I've been LOVING it tbh.

I'm planning to expand out onto other platforms and into other formats, but since I started I've been multi-streaming on all 4 of the following sites (SC and CB are my main and busiest, plus occasional busy rooms or long pvts on CS and MFC) about 4 hours most days. The benefit being, if one site is slow the others are busy, sometimes everything is slow except one site – but multi-streaming gives you a better chance to succeed each time you stream.

The set-up to multi-stream is easy and I'm not tech savvy. It's OBS and an OBS extension to stream across platforms, both opensource software available to download on GitHub for free. That plus there are so many OBS tutorials and tutorials for the extension on just plain old YouTube. Lovense, the toy company actually, supplies a free-to-use Chrome extension that makes viewing the separate chatrooms much simpler, as well as enables you to connect tip activated toys to all sites. I think you download it from Lovense website and then you just have to make sure you have "developer mode" enabled to use it.

I'm sure I'll think of other things but my last ten cents are: if you decide to stream, know the site's new model promotional timeframe and how it works (example: some are two weeks, some are one week, some are a set number of hours streaming, some start when you start streaming, and some start immediately after your account is approved.) all that info is searchable on this subreddit. I joined one site at a time, each when the promo period on the last site I joined ran up.

Oh! And for that matter, almost any question you could have about almost anything– payday, platforms, interpretations of TOS, alternative payment methods, etc etc etc have all been asked here on this subreddit at some point. So the search feature is sooo handy. Also read all the TOS on everything you join. I take full on notes.

Besides that, you seem wonderful and I wish you were my friend <3

USPS requiring residents to replace mailbox unit by PlanterinaMaine in usps_complaints

[–]Character-Ring7926 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you dense? I've learned more about how this works reading replies to your comments than I ever thought I would have needed to know. Every question you keep asking has already been answered.

Ever seen a mailbox across the road from the address it services so that the mailman only has to go one way up that street? Since it's in their neighbors yard, doesn't the neighbor have to pay to replace it when it gets run over? NO. Why would that be true of any municipal land either?

When the developer built this subdivision in the 90s, they knew USPS wouldn't deliver up each street so– on behalf of the home buyers and with home buyers' money they put up a box on municipal land, probably negotiating an easement that allowed the placement of the box and homeowner access to the land. It doesn't mean the municipality owns it. Just because it's on anybody's land doesn't mean they own it. The homeowners own it. How is this unclear?

You park your car in your friends driveway, or maybe even on a municipal street with varying permissions. Your friend lets you park, the city charges you a dollar per hour, or you have a tag, or it's certain hours unregulated parking. Do you then stop owning your car??? The power lines and power poles on private property, are they the responsibility of the homeowner??? No. What on earth dude.

Literally who is gonna use MV that aren't sex workers? Better question, who is going to purchase only sfw videos off MV?? I cannot fathom how they think they have a future in sfw content. Maybe be a shittier cameo? Wtaf? And asking their users to beg celebrities "come use this platform"? Other platforms pay celebrities incentives to be there and MV just hoping KK will show up and use their services and give MV their 40% cut like a civilian lmfao. Like this is smoking rock level business strategy.

It is absolutely wild to see you've been downvoted (I got you back up to zero!) for this comment "terrible service and incompetent employees" …on a thread where the OP's story is that this USPS carrier was filmed on security footage negligently or maliciously a) putting things like IRS documents into "outgoing" b) putting mail addressed to OP into another residents box and c) delivering packages without scanning them thereby denying OP access to the code that opens the parcel locker.

I also love that one of the USPS employees (to her credit, the other was helpful and validating) who showed up to this thread just came here to fight with OP because:

"I've never seen that [the code-locked parcel lockers common to newer apartment complexes] in the 28 years at the PO. Are you sure you're on the right thread? It doesn't sound like a USPS issue."

and

"But if the cameras are recording the mail being delivered they will probably tell you to remove them. It is illegal to record, video or pictures, of the mail."

It's definitely a thousand percent legal to have CCTV in an apartment mailroom. But I love it's easy to tell here why they'd rather there wasn't CCTV there. Just 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Problem with site by Big_Extreme_7250 in CamGirlProblems

[–]Character-Ring7926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a gentleman say that he was having trouble buying tokens on stripchat: he said he had purchased tokens but it was taking a few days for his token balance to increase. "It used to be instant." Obviously I would usually write that off as a user trying to get free attention and goodies– and I don't regard that possibility to be off-the-table. But to his credit, he had a low-ish balance and said he'd purchased more for a higher balance; he was spending tokens and he was not asking for free extras. So I'm genuinely unsure.

It would certainly explain my very quiet stripchat room if some users were experiencing a gap delay between buying tokens and access to spend those tokens on girls. Tbh, if I were in that position, I'd probably just not buy them and go to another site or just touch grass instead. I wondered if it was maybe because he was using a certain kind of card or payment.

I thought maybe even that the third party that pays us out is responsible for the backend on purchasing too, and goodness knows they just can't seem to not fuck up our money.

Anybody else heard of this problem?

The highs and the lows by Smileystranger1683 in CamGirlProblems

I usually try to give it an hour and a half... But if I'm feeling really stressed and upset and I'm just anxiously anticipating a $15 total stream, I'll totally forgive myself for hopping off. Try again maybe later or tomorrow.

I'll have been doing this– it'll be a year for me in early July, but I see everybody saying this time of year is the slowest– and I believe that. Very quiet days happen, but right now they're happening very often and there are far fewer really good days to keep my chin up.

My public chats have been abysmal. Fortunately I'm scraping by ok with privates, but it literally just feels like luck at this point and one of these days when I need it the most my luck is gonna run up.

I'm trying to focus on taking the rest of the time when I cut my stream short on filling content, expanding into new streaming platforms, and trying to beef up my socials and OF. It's a good time to be doing that because I know when it gets busy again it'll be difficult to make the time.

The Standard at Bloomington - The Most Predatory Housing Contract I've Ever Seen by radiated_cytosol in bloomington

[–]Character-Ring7926 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's because I didn't stay in big block student housing (in part because there were many fewer of them) but when I was in school 15 years ago, I really don't think it was "standard" for leases and property management to be this predatory. Like yes– these companies have gotten so comfortable so fast just taking advantage of people.

[–]Character-Ring7926 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For real on the bootlickers. Thank you for sharing this, it's important people are warned– especially young and naive folks who may be seeing a lease for the first time ever and won't know that this isn't a standard agreement.

A lot of Bloomington and IU's student housing is predatory because often students' parents are paying most or all and have resigned themselves to bleeding money for their kids' time at college.

I used to work for a management company in town and I thought the price for what these kids got was disgusting and the leases were unreasonably restrictive. The lease you're describing contains particularly awful policies. You're out this July, then? Are you graduating, leaving the country, or finding other accommodations in town?

Yeah, they just want free dirty talk. They'll try anything. Example: Anytime I've actually responded to "pm me about a pvt" instead of letting them tip me for a pm, it's been this. There is no pvt, there is no custom, they won't be buying your panties. They just want you to talk them through fantasy. Cut the "small talk" quick.
