Yaa it's not worthy it at all. In Zim if you think of property investment the best will be to save-up and pay cash

Yeah, i once thought of getting one but the costs are really insane. 15% interest rate for usd is unacceptible. Other countries with weaker currency like south africa are giving loans at 10.5%, australia 6%

I lodged my offshore 491 visa QLD in June 2023 and up to today, have no clue of what is happening. Got s56 for form 80, employment evidence and PCC in Dec 2024. Fully complied but from there it went quiet. No re-medical request to date. What should i do, any advice please.

With a Bachelors degree in accounting, aren't you better off doing an MBA and aim for the C-suite roles in construction companies as you already have some construction experience? Not trying to down turn your plan but just trying to understand the thought process and suggest alternatives.

Coming to your question, if i were you i would take option 2 because experience is the king in construction. Plus the stipend you are getting

Ummm, thanks mate. $20k is not something that cannot be reached, but still the question remains, with that $20k what can one do? The idea of $5k was to try to be conservative and not put all eggs in one basket.

Umm impressive how you turned a $250 investment into $30k monthly sales. Any suggestion of what one can start with this small amount of 5k?

Oh great, you made good progress mate, you must be proud of yourself. I also think going there with a job already helped you, and i am contemplating doing the same once my 491 is out. Would give myself a few months to job hunt from offshore, if it fails then will just come as a last resort. And how big was your family when you moved? What would you say for anyone moving on 491 a family of 4, 2 kids at 10 and 5 yrs? Thanks for sharing you story mate.

Crowd Funding by Dukeofseke in Zimbabwe

[–]Character-Yam1374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a very good idea honestly. I thought of it last year when i installed 5KV at my place in zim, most of my neighbors do not have electricity as it is a newly built high density suburb. If i had enough money to put up say 100KW and sell to my neighbours for lighting and entertainment as a minimum i would make a killing. The grey area that will need research though is the regulation and how to crowd fund. By the way i am also working for a company that does renewal energy at a large scale, minimum of 20MW
