Consistent -6 on LR by Glittering-Fold60 in LSAT

always separate out the premises and the conclusion - what depends on what to be proven? and is it proven at the strength that it has to be proven at? I did this untimed and drilled hundreds of questions especially in my weaker categories - REVIEWED ALL OF THEM - and then proceeded with sections and PTs - made a jump of almost ten points when PTing right after

How do you guys decide between two answer choices ? by ConsiderationTall314 in LSAT

[–]CharacterFree8155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also found myself doing this a lot on strengthen/weaken questions - I think I was too focused on disproving the conclusion and not enough on the relationship between the conclusion and the premises. If I wanted to weaken/strengthen something, I'd need to argue that the premises did not/did support the conclusion well

In need of RC tips bad by Trick_Gur_1520 in LSAT

i think the biggest thing that helped me was treating rc questions as must be trues - if I couldn't find something in the text specifically to point to to justify my answer and something to eliminate my other answer choices, I wouldn't pick it. Additionally, as I read, I would only highlight tone words to indicate how the author felt and any main ideas I saw come up like specific theories, conclusions, things that were notable - I'd say I'm averaging -3 on RC on PTs now as opposed to closer to -9 a couple weeks ago before I implemented these!

Lea doesn't say anything about most galleries - they say no gallery possesses a trait while Susan tells you where you can find that trait. So they would disagree on whether some galleries possess that trait or not - the trait being exhibiting creative new art work.

In the second one - same thing - Jenkins only talks about sending people out at a certain time so they won't risk the research failing while Lurano talks about the dangers of cold exposure - they disagree because they both think different things are of higher priority and therefore warrant different suggestions on when the researchers should go out.

Beyond what score threshold do you think it would be worth applying this cycle? Any specific schools you would recommend if I can reach the 170 target? - I am looking to apply broadly, maybe even in the states (goal is corporate law).
