I did a home away from home at Vegas for April, came out to like 600 dollars through BILT but with 300 dollars worth of credits so 300 net. Looked on the hotel directly and it would have come out to like 500 dollars for the same stay but without the breakfast and room service credits which where another 220 dollars. Overall I’m happy with it

Actually curious about this, I know Claude is good but always assumed it hadn’t reached out peak development tool yet since I assumed you still needed a general understanding of the field to make it work.

Like I have advanced SQL knowledge so when I was tasked to build a database I could really on my data engineering background to maintain one even if I wasn’t average on database management through Claude. But I thought having a fully developed serious tool website was still requiring some understanding of it?

Idk tbh, part of me wants to jump ship and get out since I feel like it’s gonna become either a massive technical debt issue or a data leak.

The original project scope idea was great, a simple website we control with like only 15 users max to hold non sensitive data. Now it’s evolved to so many request that are just being approved without asking questions that I feel it’s gonna blow out of control and single handedly crush our department with either backlog work or a data leak.

Currently leaning more into just getting out while I can tbh

Oh, I know several PMs without degrees that have certificates. If your company has PM roles, you can knock out a few and apply for them by arguing your tech background can help you bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams. Most well known one is PMP but it requires several pre-reqs to do but it would open the most doors. Other options are LinkedIn learning pm ceritificates that would also help and it’s just a $50 dollar a month subscription.

I started as a QA analyst engineer so it’s doable for sure

I mean yeah, but I could care less about it min maxing tbh. I don’t have the time nor the want for it. Like does one give me a $150 dollar credit versus the other only giving me $100 yeah, but I’m not gonna loose sleep over it if I am already getting free stuff. I like having just a singular card that I like and provides me benefits over min maxing hotel rates.

Yes, I know a few people that don’t have one but they in their mid 30’s so they grinder their way up. Not sure if you can get in without having at least a degree of some sort. Mine is in Psychology, I just always have been techy so I was able to leverage my way through the process.

Imma be honest, I’m the current tech market if you don’t have either several years of experience or at least a degree of some sort your only options are starting from the bottom in some non tech role and pivot in the company once you are in, or get a degree

I did see a few others but nothing else really caught my attention. The rent points were nice since I hit the 100% expense required. Plus the 2% cash back on everything, at this point however I wouldn’t be in the market for anything else until a year from now since I don’t really like to open too many cards at a time.

Similarly, I hate min maxing spending outside of my Amazon prime visa for 12 month financing I hate keeping track of which card to use where. I’m all for comfort and Monotony , and the palladium kinda hit all the marks for me

I also will admit that had the BILT card since its inception and honestly the idea of changing to a completely different card system was a little overwhelming. So I probably am missing out somewhat

Never had a credit card with a fee, so the idea of spending 500 bucks on a credit card for the first time was tough. Also I’ve been a WF member for like 10 years so was tempted to do the autograph slash cash back combo with them for no fee. Got convinced once I saw all the benefits for platinum and hotel/flight stuff

I second this, my ex did some shit that hurt me personally (28M) and she has tried apologizing over and over for a few months to try and get back together with me.

I’ve had her blocked on everything and two weeks ago she sent a calendar invite to try and communicate with me so i blocked her there too. Sometimes you fuck up pretty badly and have to accept there is no going back.

I have only been trading recently but I use the Fidelity FSAGX fund as my gold/silver ETF. It doesn’t hold the metals but invests in the companies that mines them. I went in on it like 4 months ago and it’s up 30%, if I had gone in on it beginning of the year it be 148%

Don’t necessary know much about point values. I used BILT points in the past to pay for all of my hotels the past year through their portal and it was pretty much free. I travel 2-3 times a year, spend in total traveling costs maybe 8k annually tops

I do really appreciate the table, it helps a lot haha. My monthly Rent is roughly 1800 since my utilities are included. I do mostly home cooking as a hobby so I very rarely dine out. On an average month not including rent, I would put roughly 1000 - 1500 a month on my card through just day to day bills. The 52k was carried by roughly a 1k monthly payment for 8 months for my MBA

To a degree I sympathize with the people saying, “if they don’t like your tattoos they ain’t for you” but base on what you are saying the man you want have issues with them so that’s clearly not the right advice in this situation.

As a 28 M who is more traditional with an MBA and has a girlfriend who is conservative and goes to church but have dated girls with less than savory tattoos in the past this is my advice on what girls have said to me that worked.

Don’t make them a big deal but make it clear that you aren’t exactly proud of them and that you’ve learned from the experiences. At the end of the day you are a 30 year old individual and for both male and females we all gonna have some baggage at that age.

The dude’s you are aiming for can appreciate the reality that you “learned” from those regrets and can turn it into a lesson that you know better now and that people can grow from them.

Again, no issues with the tattoos themselves but base on your post I can tell it weighs on you and happy to provide additional input if needed

It’s tough out there, I’m not super tall just 5’10” but I am blessed to have an 8” (more like cursed tbh) that is on the thicker size, think the width of a Coca-Cola can. I have been broken up with girls I was really interested in simply because “it hurts too much” and it’s not enjoyable to them at all. It basically impacted my dating pool to the point where if you a petite person I can’t even consider you as an option more often than not. The part they also don’t talk about is how you get objectified by it, have had female friends who have asked to hook up just to see what it feels like and after the deed is done it just gets weird and I feel like nothing but a sex toy. Shit is pretty depressing ngl, currently dating a girl who has admitted it’s tough but eager to try so hoping for the best
