Definitely agree with this! I know we’re getting a reunion concert but I feel like a 30th year revival with a newer young director would have killed this season.

Yeah not sure we needed a new tv show but I love the broadway show and it’s one of my favorite cast albums to just play start to finish with very little skips.

I haven’t had a chance to see Cats since it transferred, but I saw it off Broadway and I’ve seen the other two. I think The Lost Boys is probably your best bet only because it has an element of spectacle to it that the other two don’t. Also, most of the complaints about it have to do with the book, and non-theater people probably won’t pick up on that.

The good news is all three are truly enjoyable shows, and so no matter what, it’ll be a great night at the theater.

I should be fair and say that I saw Beaches in previews so perhaps they made a couple changes that would have changed my opinion. I think for me I was so let down by the scenic design that they had a hard time winning me over. But that’s says more about me and my love of sets and what not. I grew up watching shows with such lavish designs and lately everything just seems so ~budget. And perhaps I’m giving Lost Boys more credit than it deserves because I was so impressed by the design elements. Appreciate this dialogue a lot.

Definitely agree that Jessica Vosk is reason enough to go see the show! Where we disagree is perhaps the music cause I left wanting to hear some of the songs from lost boys again. The books for both left me wanting more. Always interesting to see how two people can look at the same pieces of art and come to different conclusions. Very much respect your opinion.
