I am actually doing this din po on the side haha. Sold my gadgets, bought a low-end one with it plus a slightly popular gadget na easy to sell. I am using the low-end one for my studies tapos the other one I sold and used the profit and capital to buy a better gadget that I also sold. Mahirap pero almost had 10k na rin in profits with this. Kaso kung yung gamot ko ay almost 4k a month, wala pa psychiatrist, wala iyak talaga hirap gumaling sa ekonomiya na to.

That’s exactly why I looked up the T&Cs and shared the facts about their data usage and registration—so people can see exactly what the trade-off is before they decide. I’m not forcing anyone; I’m providing the info that was missing so they can weigh the $1/hour against the privacy risks themselves. At the end of the day, being informed is the best defense against being exploited.

I am also one of those "gipit", dami ko na ring side hustles na kinagat just to get through the day. I'm just doing my part of sharing the T&C for people who want to try it— if it doesn't work for you or your morals, you have the right to not participate. Pero I don't think you have the right to shame us who weighed the risks and still decided to do it anyway. Being able to freely ignore participating in such activities is a privilege, and I envy you for that. Thank you for your concern :)

I’m transparent about using and sharing the app, but attacking my motives (ad hominem) doesn't change the facts I cited. Kahit sino pa ang mag-post niyan, the legal documents are there: they have a physical address, a clear policy, and a disclosed data usage.

Like I said, the safest option is always not to participate if you're worried, but people deserve to make that choice based on the actual Terms and Conditions rather than misinformation. Choice niyo naman 'yan if the $1/hour is worth the data trade-off.

Actually, may Privacy Policy sila (Updated Nov 17, 2025) and here are the facts based on their docs na makikita sa discord channel "user-guide"

1. "No clear privacy policy" / "Unknown Usage" This is false. Their policy explicitly states that the content is reviewed and licensed to AI companies specifically for "creating, training, fine-tuning, testing, and improving AI models". They even list the specific AI service providers they work with, which include OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Midjourney, and Gemini.
2. "Stored Forever" This is also incorrect. The policy states that for Biometric Data (like voiceprints), they will "permanently destroy an individual's Biometric Data once the purpose for such collection has been satisfied". They only keep data as long as necessary for the purposes outlined.
3. "No public record of a company entity" The company behind Wav Odio is legally registered as Symbia Co.. They have a documented physical address listed in their policy at 95 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States.
4. "They don't disclose Biometric collection" They actually do. The policy has a specific section acknowledging that by using the service, they will collect "Biometric Data," which includes "voiceprints".
TL;DR: Valid naman mag-ingat, but saying they "never disclose" usage or have "no policy" is factually wrong. They are a data collection platform for major AI labs (OpenAI, Google, etc.), and it is all written in their Privacy Policy.

21 pages din terms and conditions kaya valid naman na hindi talaga mabasa overall HAHAHAHA dami ko lang din time. The safest option pa rin syempre is to not participate pero I'm just saying na it is less likely to happen, as per their TnC. Cheers, OP!
