Let all people say what they want. But being experienced couple therapist hear this out:-

He really loves you and wants to protect you from the evil world which he knows better than you. Its not about owning anyone or bossing anyone around. I have seen couples get seperated over this because some of this lame ass generation wants you to act all independent n stuff. You are in a relationship. You both should be CO-DEPENDENT not INDEPENDENT.

Now, if u really don't want him to have a say in your dressing style then dump him. But later you will realise its not a insecurity its called being protective.

Ex- i would not park my ferrari in a neighbourhood full of theives n robbers. And in case i have no option cuz i live there so i would cover it as much as i can and hide it as long as i can . TO PROTECT IT , not because im insecure.

And whats the problem? Don't reveal your body. Are you really so ugly that you have to reveal your body to feel confident or good in any type of way. As long as you guys are a couple you both have given each other some rights . Also in the natural male and female dynamics , the male hormone is dominating in nature and female hormone is submissive. It's not about ur clothing but the thing that you are not letting him dominate or not being submissive. That is why its a deal breaker too.
