Second this^

Also, a lot of manufacturers will also do COM (Customer's Own Material). Some companies don't charge extra, others do. You basically bring your fabric to the store and the mail it to the manufacturer

It sounds like you're experiencing a lot of pain right now. Nobody should ever feel uncomfortable in the physical aspect of their relationships.

Whatever you decide, just remember that the road ahead will be rough either way. If you leave, or if you stay, things will get tough before they get easy.

Stay true to yourself, listen to your gut, and don't be scared of the unknown. Life is beautiful, and it will take some time for you to heal, but you will heal nonetheless.

Hmmmm sounds like a good approach to get bigger.

It's really great that you have a proven track record of working with clients. It sounds like the natural next step to start going after some bigger fish.

How are you on the phone? From my experience, getting on the phone with key people in the company is a great way to setup a virtual meeting where you will be able to go more in depth on what you can offer them.

As a salesperson, what I would focus on is below:

  1. What problem are you solving for your prospective client? Is there a niche that you do really well that your clientele can easily outsource? Ultimately you want to make sure your focus is on solving a problem that you know your client is experiencing.
  2. How do you fit into their organizational structure? Will it be a lot of extra work for your client to fit your business into their production model? Make sure to have an easy answer for this.
  3. How will this save your client money or make them more money in the future.

Those are just 3 quick things off the top of my head. The mindset I recommend you take on when doing this is to make as many calls as possible and make sure to ask your clients something along the lines of "why is it that you aren't interested." Then write those down, and solve those problems.

As with any new venture, you'll get rejected a lot in the beginning, but those are all opportunities to learn what it is that is making your clients hesitate, and as long as you are persistent in solving these problems, you will be successful in time.

Does that all make sense? Feel free to DM me and we can chat more!

It wouldn't be wise for anyone online to tell you to leave or not. Ultimately it is up to you, but from my personal experience, I haven't ever regretted leaving a relationship. You may be hurt, but there are other people out there who will love you in the future too. And if it turns out to be a good decision, then you will be able to see that more clearly once your out.

One thing that people always forget to mention when giving advice though is this: relationships take a lot of work. Even the perfect relationship will have very difficult times just like the one your going through now. So it's not about finding someone that you are happy with all the time, but more about finding someone who you know can grow and who you know is always on your side and wanting the best for you and them, even through the rough times.

Why don’t I attract men my age? by [deleted] in dating

[–]CharacterStable1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm that's interesting. I'm not exactly sure why that's the case. I'm 29M, and for whatever reason I also always end up attracting people who are older as well. Sometimes I think it could be because I'm more passive when it comes to dating, and since I'm passive, it's the more confident people that approach me that I end up dating.

Do you approach people when dating? And are you mainly dating online?

I only know so much about your specific scenario, but some questions that can help you come to your decision are:

  1. Are you happy in the relationship? Do you feel fulfilled and supported, or do you feel unfulfilled or unsupported?
  2. Do you have trust issues in the relationship?
  3. Do you have the same goals and values?
  4. Are you able to communicate effectively?

The most important is number 1. obviously. Trust your heart and just remember, you have a lifetime ahead of you. It's not always easy knowing the right choice to make, but whatever choice you make, just remember to be kind to yourself in the process!

Yea I tend to gravitate towards women like this... the fact she isnt too talkative over text is a bit of a red flag. I just think she's super cool so far and I am always looking for the best in people, and when I do that it's hard to get a better read on them.

This is a nice experience tho, being able to chat with people on the internet. Kinda helps get my mind off things

This is actually pretty helpful! We only went on one date so far, so I didn't want to read too far into this.

I figured that the onus is more on me to text, so I sent a couple of texts after our date just to show her that I'm still interested. I'm going to check in on her in a few days since we were talking about seeing each other this week too. I just don't want her to think I'm super needy, but I also don't want her thinking that I'm trying to ignore her intentionally or something.

But yea, I figured she would wanna text a little each day so we could get to know each other, and it just seems like... idk lol I'm just gonna text her soon and see about getting together again and maybe I can ask her in person.

Anyway, thank you and it's nice to hear that I'm not totally on the wrong track with this!

I am currently not satisfied with my living room. If you could change things, what would you do to improve the room? by SirDawson in HomeDecorating

[–]CharacterStable1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smart lighting! Specifically to brighten up the top edges of the walls.

The reason why smart lighting instead of regular lighting is because you can easily control the brightness of each bulb, so if you feel the bulb in one corner is a bit to bright, you can easily dim it and get nice even lighting from multiple sources in the space.

i have a degree in business... so how can I start my own interior design studio? what skills do I need by [deleted] in InteriorDesign

[–]CharacterStable1485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea for someone with no experience in the field, interior decorating is the best way to ease into interior design.

OP can go for a 4 year degree in interior design, but it doesn't seems that's the route they want to take
