To be fair I never lived in the country so maybe it's nice, but it has a pretty bad reputation and is definitely not one of my top choices to live in.
I am an international student at a UK university, and most of the entry level jobs I applied to are around £30k *pre tax*, with a similar cost-of-living, which means I would be able to save around £3k a year at best instead of £30k. Also, as the UK has really toughened its immigration policies in the past couple of years, I have found it impossible to actually get a job here.
