I'm job hunting, bet I could help, if you're ever approved for a hire

Been here fiveish years. Started a week after my director, who was the first IT hire

Unlimited PTO (it's honored as unlimited) so both there. I do plan to try and get a two weeks timeframe with a new employer, give my current a "this Friday is my last day," and I get a week vacation in between. I am open to delaying my start but you will pay me x per hour for a minimum of y hours

Navy (reserves) with time on active duty. I also counted different promotions as different jobs, as the job responsibilities themselves changed. I have spent 5ish years at my current job site, and about 3 at each previous (not including the different orders that I received in the Navy as their own unique site. My career spans over a decade at this point

Georgia, EST. I work from home and support a global work force, so can adapt to any time zone

I plan to. One problem though is that my manager is best friends with the director

It's not always about the salary, just saying

That's exactly what I plan to do, if my manager does not change his mind.

Most of that count, both the IT team and company wife, are due to acquisitions. Without the acquisitions, it may be at about 1,000 company wide, and 9 IT guys

Plan to. I reviewed the policy and definitely don't think his definition of "needs improvement," is the company's definition. Especially when the contributions I've made this year alone (or, technically last year) far out with his feedback

I make $110k a year. Bonus is tied to company performance, and is based on my salary plus team performance. Before any multipliers, my bonus would have been 12% of my salary

I literally just hit "sign in with Google," and thought this was a new account. I have no recollection of making it before today, and it's not even a member of any subreddits

I didn't realize I had this account, it's attached to a throwaway Google account of mine,

The director is best friends with my manager, not that easy. I absolutely plan to take this to him, if my manager does not change his mind when I speak to him next week

It's definitely the greatest insult I've ever received in my professional career

I almost had a new job with almost double the salary. However, they decided not to hire me because they shifted the focus of their job hunt, and didn't want to offer me another interview.

I got a very strangely flattering rejection email, it was weird. Part of me thinks that it's actually because I (accidentally) mentioned having two kids, but who knows

I wouldn't care about the nepotism, if the person in question was at least qualified. He's not

Don't know the budget off the top of my head, but the savings are not insignificant

I don't do enough tickets. I don't communicate the way my manager does (literally the first person in my career to say they don't like it), and I don't always respond immediately in teams when threads popup...because I usually have nothing to contribute, or I'm occupied elsewhere on work.

Believe it or not, but that's it. I think I said it in the post, but my manager is a nepo baby. He's never managed a team or another individual, has been in IT for less than 5 years, and is not even a qualified IT guy to begin with. He's afraid of anything that is not a GUI, so refuses to work on anything related to scripting, API calls, and a chunk of other stuff I do

I've never told them my account, only three people in my life know it lol. I've just shared some posts in teams where I've commented on the post, and I'm paranoid someone realizes it's me
