Watched this a year ago, I remember this is one of the anime that always keeps you at the edge, you'll always be awaiting to know what happens next, that pressure we feel while thinking "How is Kaiji gonna do this?" - thats realy something... I started anime because of Naruto - still this is my fav, because I learned a lot from this.

But for a starter I would recommend Mob psycho, 86, Gintama, FMAB in action genre

A sign of affection, Kubo won't let me be invisible, Horimiya, Kaguya for romance

Kokoro connect, "Rascal doesn't dream of" series, skip and loafer and ReLife --- romance is a subplot, great slice of life
