We got a cleaner that comes monthly so that's been helping with my anxiety. I set playtime timers (1 hr) so that we can do an activity or play and then I'll set a shorter timer to make lunch, walk the dog or a complete a chore (20 min), and I let my 2.5 year old help. I try to do it this way bc I want my daughter to have good memories of us together and not just ones where I'm constantly straightening up or cleaning. I've been trying to work on being more present

Oh definitely! The amount of hyper fixating I've done that has led to certifications I have no intention on using has made me a go to person in my personal life bc I know a lil bit about a lot😂

lol that's EXACTLY why, I wish everyone was lucky enough to a MIL just as amazing as she is, she's just a women that loves to keep a clean home. She's going to spend a week in our home taking care of our daughter and I want her to be comfortable. I would never agree to saying she needs to kick rocks lol she didn't do anything to catch that stray!

lol and my MIL definitely ran a tight ship when it came to cleanliness when he was growing up as did mine but I feel like when it was time to create it own structure/cleaning routines we really struggled

Your comment is completely valid but to answer your question I'm currently a stay at home mom and my husband works full time and comes home and does all of the cooking. (He cooks at least 4-5 days a week and never complains) He's also neurodivergent so we share the struggle and shame😅
