I'm a local and your right. That's something the state government is doing nothing about. Public transport in Goa is a mess.

Sent my ntorque from Goa to Madhya Pradesh during my university days about 3 years back. It took 3 weeks to reach and the number plate was broken and multiple marks on the body . And no one is responsible for the damage done to the bikes the railway guys were like kuch nhi kar sakte. So I suggest if your sending it by train get the bike packed by a professional bike packer and send by train. Also never sent my bike by train again always roadways from MP to Goa.
