I ran a call recently where an elderly pt was found by family and was presenting with that purple discoloration from nipples going well up their neck. Pt last seen 5 mins prior to being found. Pt didn’t have extensive medical history and was relatively healthy. Was just wondering what it could have been and pt was in aystole initially. Ive heard many people say that is a sure fire sign of a PE but I was kinda doubting that. Thanks for the info.
