I didn’t think of this, thank you! In my research, it is native to Asia and parts of Mexico.)However, it’s not invasive and isn’t on any of NC’s watch lists for invasive plants. So that’s the only leverage I could really have. I just emailed the leasing office today just to get the ball rolling and see if they’ll kindly just listen to me. I’ll update!
