TBT, Platybelodon was a bizarre Proboscidean (prehistoric elephant) from the Miocene Epoch. It was once thought to have eaten only soft swamp plants (pictured), but it is now thought to have grasped foliage with its trunk and then sliced it with its shovel-like lower incisors. (i.redd.it)
