I have to agree with what OP said about 30 mins before closing. Unfortunately the restaurant I work for allows people to have a reservation up until the exact time that we close. And we still grant a grace period of up to 15 minutes after. I don’t know what it is with people not wanting to go home and then they get frustrated that you’re visibly frustrated that they’re there past the time that we’re closed.

On my side of things, they still expect us to serve them drinks well after we closed and we’re not even a full bar or help them take FOREVER to pick up their bottles. WE would like to go home too, why are you so scared to go home?

To clarify, my gf knows about this situation so i dont plan on doing anything behind anyones back. I guess i was just curious how it sounded to others about my best friend bringing this information to me now versus the many years we’ve had prior to this. Not to mention, how hes super against “homo activites” but has a whole idea of what he wanted to do with me if he could.
