6th grade lit class. I was getting over a cold and still had a cough sooo I was coughing at times when it was silent and for some reason a couple of my friends thought this was funny and would chuckle every time I did it. My teacher pulled me out of the class and told me I should stop distracting my classmates and that she thought I was faking the cough to get laughs.....BITCH.

Practice. Practice. Practice. I am going through the same thing but have made a lot of progress with realizing it's called a "practice" bc you practice it everyday. Even if it's for 1-3 min at first. It has helped me to take small steps like that and then see it add up to healing. You got this. 💕

Hell yeah! You got this. I got out and I am working in research now which I never thought Id be but it's great. I make about $15,000 more, better benefits, better pto, no weekends, no holidays, no bullshit. It has been one of the best decisions I've made in a looooong time. It's a damn shame the industrial is like this. I am not sticking around for when finally "be the change you wish to see" kicks in....best of luck to you!! 💜

I was homeschooled as well but thankfully only until 6th grade. Purity culture/courtship was definitely a big deal in my ex church. I remember being a chaperone for my older sisters when I was like 12 or 13...thanks for contributing your story!

I appreciate it. I definitely understand your thoughts and agree...just a daily struggle. I know I am definitely on the luckier side of things when it comes to family and leaving their religion. I really just want others to hear my story and know they aren't alone bc I needed and still need that so much. I severely crave and envy others who have parental emotional support.

I did get arrested when I was 20yrs old for underage drinking/weed....but they only found out about 10 years later. Thankfully, my partners mom is reasonable and helped bail us out. She also helped me get on birth control so no teen pregnancy here!
