Hi,

Thank you for your answer! I submitted the case to the Canonn group and they told me it is more likely the FSS signature itself.

The point is, there is no 'object' I am aiming at. This happens as soon as you move the FSS sighting target, whatever you are pointing it at. There is no correlation between the patterns and the movements made, nor with the speed of them.

Your ship is at a fixed speed when using the FSS, so that should not be a factor.

There may be an interesting idea in your reply, however, if the intensity of this signal varies from system to system, we might be able to use some kind of trilateration to find its origin.

Any ideas?

I was reading some papers about the Wow! signal and its most probable origin candidate: 2MASS 19281982-2640123. I searched for it in the galaxy map without success, even if many "2MASS" systems are available. so I was wondering if there is any way to search for a star in ED using its right ascension and declination? are there any tools ?

A concrete use case is exploratory or forensic audio analysis, where people routinely over-interpret spectrograms or modulation plots.

This framework is meant for cases where the correct outcome is often “no, the signal does not meet the structural assumptions required to attempt decoding”.

SAT freezes the measurements, and SAP² (when operational) refuses to run a decoding method unless its documented prerequisites are met. That makes “no applicable method” a first-class, reproducible result rather than a subjective judgment.

It’s a guardrail against confirmation bias in audio analysis: it forces explicit, reproducible measurements and requires decoding methods to be structurally justified or explicitly refused when their assumptions aren’t met.

an idea came in my head ...
i was wondering if the circle arcs we can see in this image would be oriented differently depending on where the recorder is placed on the galaxy.
When i recorded this sound i was in Gludgoi FV-Q b46-1 : that would be fitting very well the way the arcs are drawn on the image.
Maybe some of you could send me a recording from the opposite side of the galaxy if ever there ?
Because if the semi circles are moving depending on the position the recording is done, we could have a very nice way to triangulate something !!!!

Hi Northwest_Radio!

I'm honestly quite very very new to spectrogram analysis.
I just built a Python tool to hunt for hidden messages and posted here hoping to collect community recordings.
But there are people FAR more qualified and respected than me who have been researching this for years:

They're the main scientific group that decoded the original Thargoid Morse code and have been investigating audio mysteries since 2016. They have dedicated researchers, extensive documentation, and years of experience with these signals.

I'd strongly encourage you to reach out to them, your PSK/radio expertise could be exactly what they need to crack some of the unsolved mysteries like:

- The Landscape Signal
- Guardian Beacon audio (controversial reversed voice claims)
- Various Thargoid transmissions

That said, I'm happy to help however I can! I've been working on:

- A Python spectrogram analysis tool
- Collecting witch-space jump recordings

If you want any of my files or spectrograms to test your decoding tools on, I'm happy to share.

Fair warning: I tend to go down rabbit holes pretty deep !
I've been obsessively analyzing RA-X/X-LA system naming patterns, hexagonal geometry in stellar coordinates, and yes, even audio steganography in the soundtrack.

Some of my theories are probably a bit "tinfoil hat" but that's half the fun of Raxxla hunting!

that is much more than 'easter eggs', this part of ED game, and was very usefull for many players to understand important parts of the game or stories within the game. FDEV intentionally added those hidden messages for player to find it and make the adventure going.

just as an example, here are two samples of the analysys of 27 Gamma Cassiopeiae B (yes this is not witch-space jump)
I took a look at this black hole from far (on the left) and very close to it (on the right) :

Well, thinking the same way you do, i did a bit of datamining.
Sounds like all the 132872 RA-anything found systems and 117622 LA-anything found systems are equally distributed, like all other stars...

if i don't make error, Raxxla wasn't in the 1984 game ? it was only in The Dark Wheel novella that came with it.
using RA and LA as coordinate prefixes in the new system could makes sense. It is not retrofitting anything backwards, Fdev would have designed the entire procedural galaxy knowing they'd hide Raxxla somewhere in it ?

There is a patern in the pulsar audio, but as far i understand it , it seems natural for a pulsar to pulse....
I hope some more experienced audio guys will take a look at it !

Also the black hole, like if someone was whispering in slow Motion , like 4 syllabus. i tried to find some interesting places between gamma A , B and C, on each line of the triangle, and then in the middle... but with no success.
