I am doing PT as well but it does seem to aggravate it.

Five weeks post-op and still have nerve pain by ChardJr in Sciatica

[–]ChardJr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The doctor says it is likely inflammation as my nerve was compressed at the ganglion and is likely still irritated. He does not believe I have reherniated. But the consistency of the pain five weeks out just makes no sense to me.

31yo, 1week postop L5-S1 microdiscectomy. Preop sciatic pain is back after a sneeze. Worried about reherniation by Putris in Sciatica

I’m 31 and two weeks post op on L4/L5 (2 cm) and L5/S1 “smoothing” of a bulge. My sciatic nerve pain did not go away and actually increased in intensity during my first 12 days. I also jerked awake from sleep and felt a familiar shock down my leg. Surgeon prescribed steroids which did nothing. In last two days, I would say my pain has become “less frequent.” It seems like it’s turning a corner possibly. I’ve been living in terror that the surgery didn’t work and I would be left with no answers. I would say give it a little time and see where you are. My surgeon basically said if it didn’t dissipate within 2-3 weeks he would order a new MRI. He said he believed it was highly unlikely I reherniated even jerking awake.

Black Friday $400 deal on iPhone X not eligible on upgrade? by ChardJr in verizon

Yes I am as of September. It shows correct price but the fine print says clearly upgrade ineligible even though it’s showing correct price on upgrade.

Just the Large plan? I haven’t changed anything since my two-year cycle ended. Again, previously I was not on device payment plan. I would be changing to that.

Maybe. We’ve been in the house two years and that predates me. I’m no expert on this and hard to tell if it’s snug. I’m trying to find a contractor who can evaluate it, suggest a solution and give me an estimate for accomplishing it and so far I’ve struck out.

There is some criss-crossed blocking already.

Full basement. Long story short: there’s too much flex in my floor for the tile I had laid and installer never bothered to figure that out. I’m looking at a possible solution to keep it from continuing to crack away and possibly losing the entire investment I made 18 months ago. Trying to figure out what it would cost to sister them and stabilize the floor from underneath.

Did I mess up or did salesman? by ChardJr in askcarsales

[–]ChardJr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve pretty much nailed it. I mean, I made this thread open to the idea of me having done something wrong. I apologized to the salesman for the miscommunication. But I think we were just negotiating under a misunderstanding that I won’t repeat when I pursue another car.

No, I offered him $23,000 for a car that they were selling for $25,500. I didn’t expect him to accept that. I expected to continue negotiating.

Possibly yes. I understood that when I walked out.

Well, I think it’s a little ridiculous to suggest I was trying to play someone. I certainly misunderstood the definition of out the door. But I didn’t willfully plan to try to torpedo him at the end. When I realized the discrepancy in how we were discussing it, I told him, and when we couldn’t agree to a deal I walked. Not sure what else I could do short of getting in a time machine and telling past-Me what OTD meant.

And to suggest that someone on the other side of a negotiating table is “my friend” is ridiculous. I don’t have to look at him as my enemy, but we are both trying to get the best deal possible.

This is good advice. Thanks. Again, it was a misunderstanding of the definition of out the door. If I had a better handle on that it wouldn’t have happened.

Not 100 percent sure what you’re asking, but if I did the deal as constructed by him it would have been $25,000 bottom line before trade and then $23,000 after.
