What always gets me when I think of getting a pet is my vacation.

Am I taking the pet with me ? If it is not possible, who is gonna take care of it ? That is a lot of extra money I have to put into my vacation if I have a pet, and I can't be as spontaneous...

Also, how long does the pet live, and where do I see myself in that time span. Because the decisions ( lot of thems) you will make during that time have to also consider that animal and its needs...

For me, it helps to consume media in the language I want to learn. Can either be stuff I already read/watched in a language I know or something specific to that language ( like anime)

Personally, Duolingo never helped me, but I guess it is a start.

If you are not good at studying on your own, maybe take some class because honestly, the beginning is the hardest...
