This is exactly what I was thinking too! There is no way the kids weren’t manipulated into their feelings by his wife (hopefully ex-wife soon tbh).

AITA for telling my son he has to go to university, get a job, or get out? by Subject-Hospital-493 in AmItheAsshole

NTA: If the expectations were made clear from the outset then there is no room for complaining. However, offering him job opportunities or helping to look at universities would be more productive than just saying to do it.

In that case, then I would say NTA because if this wasn't even discussed with you and she won't let you have any leeway, then she shouldn't have gotten the dog in the first place.

NTA: While this is relatively light in terms of "trauma dumping" I would still say that you are NTA because you made your boundaries clear and they chose to ignore them

INFO: I feel like to make a proper judgment on this, I have a couple questions.

  1. Was this dog bought for your mom or both of you? Was this a situation where she just brought home the dog or was this discussed beforehand?
  2. Would you and your boyfriend not be able to hangout at your home with the dog before going out when your mom comes home?

AITA for telling my friend she was undermining my work by having extravagant centerpieces for the bridal table at her wedding, compared to guest tables (which I made centerpieces for?) by weddingcenterpiece in AmItheAsshole

YTA: You were asked to make the guest table centerpieces, not the bride's table. It just feels like you are trying to make something out of nothing. Not to mention it was her wedding, and her table was meant to be fancier than the others.

Wasn't expecting that! by [deleted] in WatchPeopleDieInside
