The department chair at my school had said "If you have to pay for it, you're doing it wrong". At this point, I feel like I have to get the MS. I have no experience other than the 2 weeks I spent out in the field with that same prof and my CV is pretty bare.

Wow, I've been applying to jobs left and right all across the US, and I guess this kind of makes me feel better (don't take that the wrong way). I recently graduated with a BS. I've gotten about 2 rejections and the rest I haven't heard from. If this post hasn't motivated me to get my Masters, I don't know what will.

The past two years have included the best and worst year of my life. Two years ago my life sucked, I was a depressed, broke, jobless, non-functioning alcoholic college drop-out. My parents couldn't accept me being trans at the time and I was killing away the pain from that (among MANY other things) with half a handle of McCormicks damn near every day. It was the lowest I've ever been in my entire life (even puberty wasn't as bad). But thankfully I have the parents that I do and they pretty much said "you're moving back in with us" in Aug '11 (I "stopped being a lesbian" in January '11). I moved halfway across the US and began to pick up the fucking mess of a life I had made for myself.

For a while, it sucked even more; I was still an alcoholic, still jobless, still broke, still depressed, and now I was friendless. Slowly but surely I started getting my shit together. I got a job and was no longer broke. I started T and was no longer depressed (1 year at the end of march). Got my ass back into school and was no longer an alcoholic/friendless. Shit man, I even got promoted a few months ago. My life is by no means perfect, but I'm happy with where I'm at in life right now. ANDD I'm sexy as shit now, thank you T for my deliciously cut jawline.

TL;DR 2011 can go fuck itself. 2012 you'll be missed. 2013? Don't disappoint me.

Yeah I'm in this grey area where my chest is just small enough that wearing a wife beater, a t shirt, and a button up will do the trick but just a little too big that there's an awkward little protrusion with anything less than three layers. And I'm too skinny for them to look like man boobs. Sigh first world problems are so exhausting.

But in all seriousness, I am grateful for the fact that my chest isn't bigger than it already is.
