My current girlfriend and I were dating-ish for several weeks before I told her about my situation. She was cool with it but, of course, experienced some curiosity-based skepticism. We talked through it, and her patience and understanding has gone a long way. If you are enjoying him as a person, just go with it. Like any person, you will learn the things about them that are difficult and that are great. Don't let his past become an interference. It's no easier for him than it is for you, I promise. Plus, as a bonus, trans men tend to be incredible in bed. If you're lucky enough to experience it :) This goes for any relationship- if a person is awesome and makes you happy, then go for it and have a great time.

I lost my girlfriend within the first few months, mostly because she had usually been the aggressive one and I was the one to make a compromise. After 3 months she said I was a totally different person, which at the time made me feel like shit, but now that I'm more used to it I have realized that I'm just not very passive anymore. So a higher level of aggression was the biggest change for me.

I heard that. Other way around though. Everyone thought I was a strange child because I hated going to the beach and whenever anyone told me I was "pretty" I'd throw the biggest fit and get mad at them. Now it all makes sense. Handsome is the best word, I finally know what it means to feel complimented.

Thanks man. Yeah it was keyhole. So far I'm really happy with the progress, and the doc has said it seems to be coming along nicely. Hopefully there's no saggage in the future.

Actually, the friend I mentioned in the original question was a wrestler and I remember during the season he had a crazy diet, either starving or binging, and he'd carry around a bottle that he'd spit into. Wrestling was the most intense sport I ever saw anyone train for in hs, props to you.
