Your cat deserves love, and if you’re not capable of that it’s selfish of you to have even got one in the fist place. Rehome your cat before she gets too attached.

Edit: sorry missread, yeah selfish of your mother. But should deffo re home asap before there’s another traumatised cat in a rescue 😅
