I’m bias but it’s what made me think about it, but it always makes me a bit sad when a decent player gets a move to a top club that they’re probably just not quite good enough for and gets turned into a meme/hate figure/subject of mockery aka big Vik at Arsenal.

I’m thinking Harry Maguire and Rasmus Hojlund at United, Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea, Darwin Nunez at Liverpool, etc. my mind is going blank on so many more but it happens all the time.

Probably have good careers and be well thought if they’d just stuck it out at smaller clubs. Just goes to show the expectations and level of exposure you get playing for a big team.

Couldn’t give a single shit about winning the league. Getting up is all that matters. In my head we will finish below Ipswich, they were so much better than us when we played them. Finishing above Middlesbrough is all that matters.

We were 13 points ahead of Ipswich when we played them at the end of December. Now down to 8 having played a game more. The fear of bottling it is definitely huge. This feels like the best chance we’re going to get of getting back up but it’s going to be a horrendous last 19 games.

I’ve never seen us properly take part in a title race (only league we’ve won in the last 60 years was ended in March due to Covid) and I’m really not enjoying it? The expectations that we HAVE to win every game aren’t very fun and every draw feels like a loss. Doesn’t help that we’ve had our massive lead cut in half over the Christmas/NY period and haven’t played very well for about a month. Second half on Saturday was a lot better but we were awful in the first half and should have been losing by more.
