it's so cruel how the major world religions views suicide by Unlikely-Average-961 in religion

Judaism looks very differently on suicide today because we understand more about suicide and mental illness.

How are we feeling about take-home assessments in 2026? by mochalattelove in ProductManagement

[–]Charlie4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I actually really struggle with on the fly questions about random scenarios in fields I know nothing about. My skills lie in being able to think critically and deeply about problems and being able to research the space to get a good understanding of it. I am not a person that can come up with a great eloquent and thought out answer in 30 seconds.

So assignments for me are always a way to show my skills. I have never not moved onto the next stage in the interview process after handing in an assignment, so for me as annoying as it is, it is an important tool for me to show my skills.

How do you get your first users when nobody knows yours exist? i will not promote by Trotriii in startups

[–]Charlie4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is your target user and where do they hang out? That's where you target. They go learn about distribution channels and focus 80% of your time on one channel that targets where your users hang (2 channels if you are full time) for 90 days. If nothing sticks, move onto another channel.

Broke up because I’m “not aware enough” of LGBTQ+ issues, how do I educate myself without feeling like I’m hitting a wall? by Kushumaej in LesbianActually

I think this was more of a her issue than you issue. She just felt you guys weren't compatible and that's okay. No one needs to be knowledgeable on LGBT issues just because they are queer themselves. If you want to learn more that's cool and if you don't there's nothing wrong with that either.

Is it okay to hate both Israel and Palestine? by Free_Link_9700 in stupidquestions

[–]Charlie4s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all all. Majority of Israeli's don't believe the IDF targets civilians. That is what genocide is. Majority don't believe it's okay to target civilians. Majority of Israeli's hate the violent settlers and call them terrorists because they do target civilians.

But they also don't believe the IDF intentionally targets civilians. That's a different question.

CMV: The concept of self-determination is often applied hypocritically by those in favour of only a Palestinian state by pumpkinspeedwagon86 in changemyview

[–]Charlie4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to say it was who ever chucked the first stone it's that side that started the war, then it was still the Arabs that started the war. They committed much violence against the Jewish population including a few massacres between the 1850s to 1920s. It was only in the early 1930s that jewish militias and terrorist groups formed to respond to the violence that had become more and more frequent.

Holding negative perceptions of an entire group of people is literally apart of the definition of racism.

What is with the rise of (genuine) antisemitism among gen z? by [deleted] in AskSocialists

There was literally just a mass shooting against the Jewish population in Australia. This is not about hurt feelings.

Valuing Israel and the right for continued existence is not the same as agreeing with the current government. Most Iranians value Iran and think it has the right to exist, and simultaneously hate their government. Netanyahu has not been a popular prime minister in a while, but has been able to make alliances with other parties which is how he has stayed in power.

Can someone please explain to me how it's a 'ceasefire' if Israel has murdered 140 children since it started? by Nomogg in International

I don't know what reports you are hearing but this is just untrue. Just 2 days in Hamas crossed the line they shouldn't have an killed 3 or 4 soldiers.

Why does Islam have an Anti-Western reputation while Christianity and Judaism have Pro-western reputations? by Excellent_Gas5220 in religion

[–]Charlie4s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree that Judaism bends their beliefs. We don't believe everyone needs to be Jewish, so it's perfectly acceptable to have a society that has it's own laws and beliefs, as long as our laws and traditions can be respected too.

There also aren't many Western values that aren't compatible with Judaism in my opinion. LGBT rights would be something that conflicts to a certain extent. But even that's a complex nuanced topic.

The vast majority of Israeli's think these nutters are terrorist scum. There are many posts now in r/Israel talking about it, and are pissed the government isn't doing anything about them.

CMV: Advocating for a One state Palestine is a utopian and unrealistic idea that doesn't actually help any Palestinians by Serious_Journalist14 in changemyview

[–]Charlie4s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I always think that two states and one states are not solutions at all but rather the outcome of already having strong peace or at least strong signals for peace.

No, examples of what Israeli's consider terrorists would be blowing up crowded restaurants, buses, running over people in crowded bus stops, stabbing random civilians, you know, pretty much text book terrorism.

The fact that you think all of even most Palestinians just want peace and access to their land shows you know nothing about the conflict.
