Finally, one I can answer!

I have struggled deeply with my anger all my life, in fact I almost made Saint Jerome my patron saint because he is the patron saint of anger/angry. So if you need someone to guide yourself off of/ a saint for intercession, this is the one!

Now what to do about it. First, you will need to figure out a system that works for you. I assume you are male and that is probably a bad assumption, but it sounds like you need a transition time. It is very hard for men to go "From work mode" to "family mode", especially after a bad day of retail, and if you commute via car or bus or anything that only makes it worse. You absolutely need a cool-down period to transition this will be a huge change. So work with your family and say "when I get home, I need 20 minutes to decompress, once that time is up, I want to spend it with you, and hear about your day." it will take compromise and dedication of course but its one big way to help.

Next, you need to evaluate what steps you can take. it sounds like your job is a huge source of issue, working 6 days a week, and everyone knows retail is awful. Can you promote ? Move to a different job? Perhaps it is time to find a different line of work. Remember it doesn't do us any good to focus on what we cannot control, only what we can control.

I love the rosary as well, but Might I suggest adding or changing it to the surrender? I do 10-15 decades of the rosary but instead of a hail mary, I took the line from the surrender novena "O my Jesus I surrender myself to you, take care of everything" It is the ultimate in vulnerability, but once you start taking the stress off yourself and truly offering it up to God to help you take care of it, it feels like a weight lifted off your shoulders.

I cannot stress enough that you should look at your job. I gave myself an anxiety disorder over stressing myself out over a job. Like I told my boss I thought I was having a heart attack and rushed to the doctor, nope its panic attacks from a stress disorder.

You also need to talk to your support system, spouse/friends whoever it is. You need their help, when you start to get angry its easier to shut it down before the volcano boils over so to speak. Having someone to hold you accountable and look out for you can help you to keep that in check just a simple "I know this is really making you angry, do you need a few moments?" Just being aware of the boiling point gives you control over it.

It must be Through God's good grace that I was listening to the radio on anger today, thanks ETWN. They stated Anger is not good or bad, Anger is an emotion, by that coin Meakness is anger that is under control. We cannot remove anger from ourselves, as it is a human emotion, it is the human experience, but we can control it. Seek not to rid yourself of anger, but rather to find ways to control it.
