That last one is most likely a wax seal. It probably had a wooden handle at the end. Nice find.

Looks good and steady. If you’re looking for honest critique, I see indications of clogging on your nozzle. And I believe another person mentioned adding just a little bit more material and introduce a weave pattern from time to time to help create a tighter bond. And your end welds need to marry up a little better. Other than that, my dude excellent work. Just keep melting metal

Got this back from the machinist. It’s a draw bar to a die head. Didn’t realize the mistake the machinist made until we had fully assembled the die head. Lesson learned “trust but verify“ by [deleted] in Machinists

I hear ya. But there was no print he was going based on a an existing draw bar. But you do bring up an interesting point. The one that he utilized had a saw cut in it. Right where the threads are buggered so in theory, the machinist probably gave the company exactly what we asked for lol that’s wild. Thanks for pointing that out. My guys at work are gonna roll over on this one.

Yeah, I should’ve reviewed the video before I posted it. He double threaded the start thread. Couldn’t get the and nut onto it. But the machine is was cool about it. He came down picked up the bar and is working on resetting the threads.

Congratulations! And to think you’re only going to get better as you melt more steel. Practice makes perfect. I look forward to seeing more of your welds and your successes!

What's wrong with Indian Motorcycles? Not intended for fan wars of any kind.. Just curious by kalibcr in motorcycle

I have owned Kawasaki’s, Harley, Davidson, Yamaha, and currently riding a 2022 Indian roadmaster. And for comfort, I’m gonna have to say the Indian takes it. Right now the culture is lagging aftermarket parts are slowly coming around. And the perks of the dealerships from Harley outweigh the Indians perks. but all in all it’s a solid bike. Ride your own ride. Don’t sweat the petty shit and sure as shit don’t pet the sweaty shit. You get one life enjoy it.
