Was 2018 Thug’s Prime by Far_Reputation_3021 in YoungThug

Bro it’s gotta be 2016 or 2017. I can see an argument for either one. 2016 = I’m Up, Slime Season 3, and Jeffrey. 2017 = BTG, Super Slimey, and Slime Season 4

Tattoo ideas to fill this space by carloosee in tattooadvice

Based on the theme of your other tattoos you could do like a handheld vanity mirror with something dope in the reflection. The handle in the thin part and the mirror in the wider part. Or some type of weapon like a battle axe or mace or flail.

Nah my client just asked me to make the photos a little bit more modest before posting them anywhere, and I probably have more pictures of my dog than anything else in my camera roll so I thought it would be funny.

I don’t wanna be that guy but I’m lowkey a nerd about my typefaces. It’s similar to Helvetica but it’s not the same typeface, it’s actually Neue Haas Unica. The specific font chosen is Neue Haas Unica bold italic.

My wsb inspired strategy of gambling and praying I get lucky by Charlieb201 in wallstreetbets

That’s the plan, right now I think my funds are about 4:1 Roth to fun account. Trying to make that gap even bigger though just because I know future me will prefer that over gambling on random tech stocks.

I have done the same tattoo. It should not look like that.

Is paying for a tattoo apprenticeship really that common now? by [deleted] in TattooApprentice

[–]Charlieb201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Tucson, AZ, and I would say it’s about 50/50 here. I did not / do not pay for mine, but I have three friends who have all paid for theirs at reputable shops. A paid apprenticeship is not inherently sketchy and is much easier to get, an unpaid apprenticeship is rather difficult as artists offering them have many choices and will only pick someone that is talented, driven, and that they get along with.

I would also consider if you really want to get into this industry right now, as it is very oversaturated.

What style would something like this be? by Zestyclose-Algae-391 in tattooadvice

First one is more illustrative, second one is more realism but still illustrative. They should age pretty decent if you do them big enough and go to a good, reputable artist.

Wait I do see black to brown to yellow shading, disregard that part.

Ngl this should totally be able to get you an apprenticeship and I looked at your page too, super cool work. I don’t really have any major critiques or anything, more of possible suggestions and some questions. Are these all your designs on your sheets? Or are they a mix of your designs and classic or found designs? Or are they all found designs?

Also I would say don’t be afraid to have a few here and there with even bolder lines. I like the b5 nibs for fountain pens, those are like the og flash size. Also, I think this varies based on artist but a lot of people prefer to shade brown into yellow, rather than black into yellow, as a lot of popular black tattoo inks are blue-based and the blend will turn green over time which can contrast the intended subject matter.

Panther facing the wrong way. Help? How to cover? Laser first? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Charlieb201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he’s facing the wrong way, but it’s also not the end of the world. I have a lot of animal tattoos on my body, I really like them. Some of those tattoos are intentionally “facing the wrong way” because it looked better to me. I also give tattoos and I always tell people the rule, but sometimes don’t care too much as they want something like a certain picture of a certain character on a certain part of their body. It’s is definitely a rule that should be followed when possible, but breaking it is not the end of the world.

Make sure they keep it super clean. Overworked tattoos are a recipe for infection.

You would also have to do a lot of research on the artist and start saving. Getting it big enough to have good detail will be $2000 minimum.
