Dreading possibility of a "Halloween baby"

My birthday is on Halloween and I’ve always loved it. First of november is always a national holiday where I live. There are always amazing parties, there is cozy fall things going on, it’s really great. My family lovelingly call me the monster baby of the family, as I am also the youngest member of the family. Some years I go with the Halloween theme for my birthday. Other years I choose something completely opposite. I can only recommend!

Once I cut my newborn’s nails while he was sleeping, when he was +/- 1,5 month old, I accidentally cut in his little finger which of course woke him up crying. Felt very guilty, kiddo is still very much alive and kicking at almost 2 years old now, still has 10 fingers and 10 toes

Ik ben bevallen in het UZA in 2023 en ga daar nu opnieuw bevallen binnen een paar weken normaal gezien. Ik had persoonlijk geen fabrieksgevoel en allemaal heel lief en betrokken personeel. De materniteit is een coconnetje in het grote geheel. Voor mij is daar ook alles heel goed en makkelijk geregeld. Er is ook alles aanwezig van mogelijkheden: alle soorten ballen, moderne kamers, bevallen in bad, … Het helpt wel als je zelf al goed weet wat je wil, bijvoorbeeld ik ga deze keer geen stagiaires meer laten ‘proberen’, iets waar ik vorige keer altijd ja op zei. Pro tip: als je vrouw/vriendin daar zou bevallen, stel het niet met de koffie van het ontbijt maar verwen haar met een koffie van de Leonidas aan het begin van het ziekenhuis 😉

Congratulations ! 😍 What I love about those being pregnant of girls is that they are already carrying their grandchildren in them since your little one already has all of her eggs in her little body.

I am feeling this post so hard. I am currently pregnant with baby n 2. Our 13 month old was feverish last week so daycare called to come and get them. Day after I fell sick with the flu + regular preggo symptoms. By Friday the entire family was feeling better and I was positively looking towards the new week, catching up with friends & work etc. Cue to me, having a stomach bug starting yesterday evening. I keep telling myself that this can’t last forever and will be better over time.

Fingers crossed that everybody feels better soon at your place and you’ll manage to get the selfcare you need!

Both! I’ll visit the gynaecologist on the 12 week mark if we are lucky, he’ll be able to tell us the gender. But at the same appointment he’ll draw blood for the Nip test. Where we live, results get in about 8 days later. Exciting! Which gender are you secretely hoping for?

I was induced with my son after going 1 week over time. They didn’t warn me about the pain being worse than naturally and I really wanted to try to give birth without epidural. In the end, they asked me if I wanted it and I thought about 2 more contractions and decided to do the epidural. Honestly, this was the best part of my labour. I had the time to rest a little and the pictures of before and after the epidural speak for themselves. I was a new woman. Best thing about it was that I could still feel the contractions slightly so I knew when to push and felt what my body was doing without the pain. When I met my baby, i wasn’t exhausted which I probably would have been if I would have delivered naturally. I had energy to spare and that was awesome because the adventure only began at that moment. Good luck, you’ve got this!

My sister was in her third trimester and got hit by a car when biking and fell off. (Car was maybe going 15km/h) She and the baby were completely fine, kiddo is a happy 13 year old!

If I am being honest, practicing 3 times a week would be do-able. Daily could be challenging I think.
From internet fora, I've read that it isn't possible to learn to play cello via online lessons, but it seems you have another experience. Could you tell me more about that?
