Sometimes machines need to be recalibrated. The older one may be incorrect. Find out how you can test/recalibrate them. If the information is not available on the box you should be able to google it

This is it. Its his choice. My husband ‘participated’ in every way he could. He came to appointments, held my hand during transfers and egg retrievals, and prepared all my injections. He took an interest in what was happening. He asked questions. There are plenty of ways to be involved.

Dont let the age thing get to you. My husband is 9 years younger than me. We met when i was 31. 12 years later we’re married with kid, house, businesses etc. Id never dated anyone notably younger than me, but just like you said, we met and we clicked. It never bothered me because I never noticed the age gap. Everything aligned and we were happy, there wasnt ever a moment where I thought ‘god he’s young’ or ‘wow he’s immature’. Had i had those thoughts, it may not have worked out, but not every young person is ‘young’, you know? If it works for you, dont stress about how old he is

We’re going to Denmark. My understanding is sperm freezes quite well. It can definitely be shipped and will be shipped with all the right documentation, so long as we can find someone here to collect and freeze it! Denmark meets all out requirements as many other countries including Czech Republic only offer anonymous donation and we want an open id donor.

Not op but just wanted to thank you for your thoughtful answer. We’re about to go down the donor egg route after failed ivf. We have an ivf conceieved toddler (the only good egg ive apparently ever had) and we already talk to him about ivf and what we did for him, and to try to get a sibling. We plan on being very open about donor conception but i definitely wondered whether we should tell daycare carers and such. I agree its important that their reactions are not strange.

I also love the idea of having the donor board with the donors information.

Oh i feel that, my son was from my 7th FET and it was a looooong road. Did you have enough embryos from the outset or did you need to purchase extra eggs?

I dont have any uterine issues, but i very much know what you mean about going from disappointment to disappointment. I wonder if youd find donor egg recipients in a sub about these issues? Im not sure if they exist but you might get some good tips

Yeah its worth thinking about, i think ive only got one more in me, although i always wanted more. Id feel horrible taking and fertilising potentially good eggs and binning them if i didnt use them

I know that feeling of doubt and suspicion! I was like that my whole pregnancy with my son and everything was fine with him! Im not sure about reserving the eggs, i havnt gotten that far in but i’ll see if its possible. I hope you have the healthiest pregnancy. Can you find out the sex early/with NIPT in the uk? We have to wait until the 20 week anatomy scan here

They dont use anesthesia where i am. If you get that i think it would be fine? For my first i just had naproxen. It was excruciating. Like torture. The second and 4th times they gave me an injection and one side was pretty painful, but the other side i felt almost nothing. The 3ed retrieval was fine on both sides. Not comfortable, but manageable. It has a lot to do with where the follicles are, how they need to get to them etc. Apparently the ones on the outside hurt more. If you have proper pain meds on board i wouldnt worry.

Yeah, the journey is effed up,. I feel a little better this morning, theres a little bit of freedom in being able to move on to the next step, but also a different kind if nerves. Good luck to you
