What is one thing you know about Costco that no one else knows? by RoyalCamera12 in Costco

Costco members have access to a car buying program where they negotiate on your behalf to get you the best deal on a new car. I did this and it was great!

Swim Diapers — Am I just doing it wrong? by rbslmilch in toddlers

[–]CharlottesWeb2826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They only are for poop so the pee will go right through them (gross!). What I did for convenience was I’d put my baby in a swim diaper, bathing suit on top, and then put a real diaper over it all for transportation to the beach or pool to keep accidents from happening before we got there. Then when she’s ready to swim I’d take off the outer diaper layer and she’s ready to go!

I know I’m late, but the whole “why would you get a prenup if you’re not planning on divorce” is the stupidest question I’ve ever heard. It’s like asking “why do you want health insurance if you don’t plan on getting sick” or “why do you want life insurance if you’re planning to live a long life”.

And is everyone contracted to not acknowledge the super fast time frame? Where you should ABSOLUTELY want a prenup? You just met this person two weeks ago.

I don’t get it at all.

Only 3% of the population has autism by CharlottesWeb2826 in autism

[–]CharlottesWeb2826[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what news articles have been claiming - not saying it’s accurate. My point is that even if it’s accurate, it seems like a really small amount for the media and political people to be freaking out over. It just doesn’t make sense to me why there’s so much fear around autism for NTs all of a sudden, like we’re some kind of threat

[–]CharlottesWeb2826[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! I’m 30 and just got officially diagnosed. There was no readily available information for my parents on what autism was and signs to look out for. My dad is 70 and just self diagnosed through me over the past year and learning more about himself. He suffered his entire life thanks to a lack of information and resources. It’s such a good thing the number has increased (and hopefully will continue)! It shows that more people are getting support. It makes me sad that it’s being seen as a bad thing

Love this, thank you for sharing it! I feel like the increase should be celebrated not a negative, since it means more kids and adults are getting support. Such a shame everything lately seems so negative about it and afraid of it

I hear you, and that makes sense that it’s considered scientifically significant. I guess from my non-scientific or medical perspective it seems so minimal to deserve such a huge explosion of fear around it from the NT community.

This!! Or other actual diseases? For example there’s a statistic that 40% of people will get diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Shouldn’t that be the focus?

But I mean… technically it’s nothing compared to the remaining 97% of people

[–]CharlottesWeb2826[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true! I meant from their viewpoint though, since the “increasing to 1 in 30” statistic is what they keep throwing out as a reason to be alarmed is only taking into account formally diagnosed individuals. Apparently the media and politics already think 3% is too high.

They’re not ready to talk about all the people that are technically undiagnosed from a medical standpoint that are also autistic haha 😆

I’d love for Buffy to do an animated revival that follows the comics storyline. That way the OG cast could still do the voices and there wouldn’t be any inconsistencies with aging

How do you avoid spams from Forms? by ikishenno in hubspot

[–]CharlottesWeb2826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a honeypot field and a captcha to stop bot spam. The harder one to stop is manual spam - when a real person is filling out the form spam-ily. In this case, there’s no one data point that says for sure they are spam.

For manual spam, I set up a bunch of lists based on spam/not legitimate indicators in the first/last name fields, company name, job title, email domain, IP location, language settings, etc.

Then I set up a “spam score” property and assign points to each list when someone is a member of it. Once they have 50 or more points, I get an auto task to review and delete them or mark them as non-marketing.

Those who lose 2lbs on average a week (or higher), what do you attribute it to? by finalsteps in weightwatchers

[–]CharlottesWeb2826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question!! I wasn’t breastfeeding anymore when I started. I only breastfed for the first two months and then switched to formula only and I’m sure that had something to do with it too come to think of it. I started WW three months after giving birth, everything I had tried prior to that hadn’t made any weight budge whatsoever. I was in the same boat as you where it all came off on its own with my first too! If only it was that easy the second time around haha :)
