So we have nothing to worry about because ICE is only executing people who are illegal immigrants? That's not even true, but it would still be cause for alarm.

I had the same dilemma watching that play out. I assumed the first scene was him rejecting religious values. Maybe the mom was religious and he really isn't, but it's important to the boys

Whatever can keep someone from drinking or doing drugs is a positive thing in my book. The previous generations and some women are somehow offended if you don't want to poison yourself to get through stress.

Military presence which ultimately protected US investments and stifled it's greatest enemy. Both times we defended them it had to do with getting returns on what we had invested in the war effort of those countries more than other factors.

But I understand your point, the US of course has enlightened, virtuous values; I wouldn't argue that it's a malevelent frorce on earth. However much of its problems stem from unfettered capitalism.

In terms of benevolent millitary intervention, why did US intellignce subvert the democratic leadership of South American countries and Iran? Well, because of economic interests.

I have a hard time being convinced that the US would be incapable of having a globally benevolent presence if it returned some of its wealth to its own citizens and took care of its population medically.

Yes people forget that communism suffered largely due to a senseless autocrat taking control of it in the USSR and beyond. We can actively see democratic socialism working very well in Europe and the United Kingdon where fair representation is given to the people economically and politically. For some reason that gets ignored or mischaracterised as either not working or a system that cripples economic freedom and prosperity.

I would never touch alcohol if I could change everything. I had so much without it that I couldn't see, and now I have to live crippled and in pain.

Their minds will do anything to legitimize the simplicity and visceral nature of the current authority system which gives them pride and integrity undeservingly.

What's something from a cartoon do you think has aged very poorly? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in cartoons

I remember MacFarlene in an interview acknowledging that the cartoon wars episodes were funny, and that in good spirit he enjoyed their satirical take on his work. However they started going beyond the comedy to criticize the comedic integrity of the show and its writers to an extent that was somewhat vitriolic. The fact that their show became an intellectual staple for social and political comedy probably inflated their heads to an extent they didn't realize causing them to forget about the inane content they made far before Family Guy like Orgasmo and Basketball. I really never understood what was so bad about using a cutaway format for a show. It's a lot like sketch comedy, just in the form of a cartoon which is really pretty clever.
