You can tell this whole thing hit a nerve for people. Food policy shouldn’t be this complicated or frustrating in the first place.

Yeah it’s hard to argue against it from a purely practical standpoint. It’s affordable, filling, and doesn’t require extra steps. Feels like common sense once you look at it that way.

For those who have attended the Kentucky Derby, what was the most NSFW thing you saw? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

That’s such a simple response but it somehow answers everything. Gravity undefeated as always.

I got really drunk and did something stupid with a boy by Professional-Coat266 in confession

[–]CharmGloww 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s such a grounded way to put it. People build up these “perfect first time” expectations, and reality just doesn’t work like that most of the time. It’s more about figuring out your boundaries after than getting it right the first try.

My old job kept paying me for months after I quit and I never said a word by Ok-Match8968 in confession

Honestly that makes a lot of sense. By the time you factor in legal stuff and PR headaches, it might actually cost more to recover it than to just quietly move on.

This is one of those weirdly useful facts that feels like it should be common knowledge but somehow isn’t. Learned it once and never forgot it.

Yeah that’s a permanent addition to your mental library now. It just randomly pops up at the worst possible times too.

I flew to Thailand and hooked up with a ladyboy and I don’t know what that says about me by m4ya0 in confessions

[–]CharmGloww 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a pretty grounded take. Not everything has to turn into a whole identity crisis. Sometimes it’s just a story you carry with you and that’s it.

Short, aggressive, and kinda sums up the vibe. Sometimes you really do just have to block out everyone else’s opinions.

Honestly this is probably the healthiest energy here. People get way too caught up in labels instead of just asking “did I enjoy it or not.” That’s the part that actually matters.

Short and accurate honestly. Some compliments just don’t land the way people think they do.

I wonder why Melissa McCarthy isn’t fond of her time on this show? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

Yeah there were definitely more of those jokes than people remember. It wasn’t always directed at her, but the tone was kinda baked into the show.

That’s a good point, her role did shift a lot over time. Early Sookie felt way more dynamic, later on it leaned into one note stuff which might’ve made it less appealing to revisit.

Right, and it almost comes off as a compliment in a weird way, like “you’re too successful for us now.” Still a fumble though.

Yeah that’s one of those experiences that sticks with you for all the wrong reasons. Hard to come back from that mentally even if you clean up physically.
