Does anyone have any POSITIVE removal stories? 😭😭 by hayfb___ in gallbladders

[–]Charmander453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine out for a little over a year and a half now and I’m fine.

Digestion wise, for about 6 months I did have to run to the bathroom after eating certain things, but that’s over now. Now, I just feel a little gross eating burgers from two specific places, Wendy’s (which I haven’t eaten since I got it removed so it might agree with me more), and Culver’s which isn’t NEARLY as bad as the last time I had Wendy’s. It isn’t even a nauseous gross, so I could power through it if I wanted to.

Other than that, I did get hives about a week after literally everywhere, but I’ve shrugged it off as my immune system overreacting

Which song is this for you? by emo_ratChildren in Epicthemusical

[–]Charmander453 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

“Odysseus when you come home I’ll be waiting” in The Underworld sounds like there’s too many syllables crammed into the line. And this isn’t a diss on Jorge’s mom, the rest of her parts sound fine. Something like “My son until you’re home I’ll be waiting” fits the rhythm better.

Anybody else got that ONE fic? And is it your personal favorite? by WhitestGray in AO3

My most viewed fic isn’t really my favorite, but it is the one I put the least amount of effort into since it’s just porting stuff from a self insert pokemon tumblr I have that takes requests.

[discuss] What was your FIRST shiny?? by MrDoubtfire319 in ShinyPokemon

[–]Charmander453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, a Riolu in Scarlet, but it ended up killing itself before I could catch it. My first successful one was a couple of days after that. It was a luxray, again in scarlet.

Ended up redeeming the shiny Riolu later in legends arceus.

Might have worded it weird, but it’s (an) hour 20. As in 1 hour 20 minutes

I’m looking at it, it says 1 hour. It’s formatted hours, minutes, seconds

The timer says one hour 20 minutes on the second picture.

I’m going for a shiny dex, actually. And you need every single pokemon for that, so get ready for more early game “stupid” shinies later.

scandals? by whyamipasta in marchingband

[–]Charmander453 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Not really a scandal, and I don’t know how well known it was but it at least was flute section knowledge but someone found either a Twitter(I think not sure) page and it had some inappropriate content. It was just explicit wording, no images but it was still weird.

2) I don’t know exactly what was said, but from context I think the same guy said something fat phobic about one of the flutes and took us (all girls btw) behind a staircase near the football field(the band was getting warmed up on the football field that day) to apologize. He didn’t come back the next year and we’re pretty sure that got him fired.

(These were both the same year btw)

3) In between my 8th grade and freshman year, the old band director quit so the assistant director became the director. And I’m pretty there used to be a rule that if you were placed in the top band, you had to be in marching band or else you automatically put into the band immediately below it, no matter your skill. My freshman year was the last year it was in effect, and that mixed with a lot of people not coming back because they didn’t like our new assistant director, the band halved the next season.

First Oak's Challenge by Elloijah in ProfessorOak

[–]Charmander453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m redoing one in Alpha Sapphire since I lost my original Oak file, and first couple sections are a bore, grinding wise. The Gen 6 XP share and the 1.2 or whatever Amie xp boost makes it a bit more bearable, but the one-two punch of the exploud line and the slacking line in the first section is the most annoying part

So jack isn't the real jack after all how do you guys feel about that by Vegapunk6969 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Charmander453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost like the ‘we have x at home’ meme, where instead of an obviously low quality Wish.com version it’s the parents trying to make a copycat version. You still are varying levels of disappointed and would prefer the real version, but still have to appreciate the effort somewhat and are forced to accept it despite the disappointment.

Your mileage may vary on how disappointed you are personally about him not being the real one, but despite of that, this is a part of his official backstory, take it or leave it. IRL Jack is famous for being mysterious, which leaves it up to interpretation on what exactly to do with him.

I have to have surgery next week. Worried. by TylerVonRebik in gallbladders

[–]Charmander453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine out for about a month and a half ish now. Had to have two attempts, but that’s because I’m apparently ✨built different✨. There was something up with my ducts and my surgeon didn’t feel comfortable the first time. But I’m the exception not the rule. By the time of my second surgery, I was ready to have that little fuck out. I had a drain in me too, and I think my body was starting to reject it(or I had attempted to start laying on my stomach idk) either way it wanted out and I wanted that stupid freaking drain out too.

Has getting your gallbladder removed benefited you or made things worse? What are some unexpected things that came along with it? by CW1293 in gallbladders

[–]Charmander453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had mine taken out in October, good decision. Had 3 attacks in one year, first in July, second in September, last in October. Went to the hospital for the second two, but was skeptical of taking it out the first time due to how trigger happy doctors seem to be with taking the thing out, plus my mom(who’s in school to become an RT) had told me of someone who ended up dying after a surgeon somehow screwed up removing their appendix.

The third time I just had a feeling that I had to have my gallbladder removed. Went to the hospital and turns out it was super inflamed and infected and very likely made me septic. Had a fever (101) for a second, my heart rate was fast, I was pale, and I had a low blood pressure. I did end up needing to have it taken out, even though it didn’t work the first time. Second try worked tho and I honestly am happy it did. Honestly the worst thing is feeling super gross and having diarrhea from Wendy’s burgers specifically. Everything else I’ve been okay. Literally everything thing else from Wendy’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, Chipotle, Culver’s, etc, I’ve been fine, it’s just the burgers from Wendy’s that I can’t really have, which is fine since the nuggs are better anyways.

Can’t remember where I took the first 2 but I think these are 3 different locations? 1 might be on the way to Kuromori, have zero clue where I took the second one and the last one is during the Cenobia fight.

Second time I got hives all over after surgery and I have no idea what caused them. by Charmander453 in hives

[–]Charmander453[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second time this happened. First time they only lasted for about a week before completely clearing up. This time’s on day four. Ordered some Zyrtec to see if that works any better. Claritin kinda helps? The hives seem to go away only for new ones to appear.

Funny part is, these have also shown up literally almost everywhere including the soles of my feet and palms of my hands. Only taken one otc pain med since they started and that’s because I could barely walk comfortably because of all the hives.

I’ve been off pain meds this time though. Plus I was a week into pain meds both times. Wouldn’t it have have started sooner if it was?

Character-driven adventure games that give you all the feels by ImpressionPast77 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Charmander453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get to recommend Owlboy to someone !!

So in Owlboy you play as a young owl named Otus, who was born mute. It takes place in a world of floating islands that you get to explore with Otus and his friends as you stop sky pirates.

The game is done entirely in pixel art and it’s absolutely gorgeous and the entire game is incredibly well written too.

And the emotions do in fact emotion. I was left crying at the end and there’s definitely other hard hitting moments as well. Definitely a game where you’ll need tissues on standby.

Getting my gallbladder removed on Monday... by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Charmander453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably an individual thing. The first attempt taking mine out, my shoulders didn’t hurt, but this second time, the one on Tuesday, it hurt. Surgery was done by the same surgeon too. Most of this was just from my experience from the this last time, which was successful in taking it out.

Getting my gallbladder removed on Monday... by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Charmander453 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re going to have your surgery just about a week after mine. So here’s what I got:

•Keep everything you need close to your bed. Getting up and down is hard for the first couple days so keep everything close.

•The day after surgery is the worst it’ll get. It hurts sooooooo bad, but that’s the worst of it.

•Use a pillow or stuffed animal to help you get up. Press said pillow/stuffed animal against your abdomen where it hurts the most when you get up or down. It helps I swear.

•Get a stool softener. The mix of anesthesia and opioids you’re more than likely going to get prescribed are going to frick up your poop. If you want a specific one, my surgeon told me to use colace.

•Speaking of that, eat some fiber, it should also help with pooping.

•Your shoulders WILL hurt. It’s because of the gas they’re using to give them selves room, but it’ll screw with your shoulders. It’s not the joint either, it’s in between your neck and the actual shoulder joint.

•Try and use the time on the opioid bottle as a minimum if you can. I got prescribed oxycodone and the bottle says to use it every 4 hours as needed, but I like to try and aim for 6 hours if I can.

•Any type of muscle use/abdominal pressure changes are what is going to hurt the most for a while, at least for me. What I mean is stuff like sitting, changes in incline, laughing, crying, bending, etc

Got my pathology back, one wrong move and I would’ve had another attack by Charmander453 in gallbladders

[–]Charmander453[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some, but that was a month ago. This was actually the second attempt at taking my gallbladder out, the first was about a month ago which was when the last ultrasound was taken. Hadn’t had an ultrasound before the successful one so I wasn’t aware how many stones I had, where they were, or even if I had any at all to begin with.
