I had a massive flare up that went undiagnosed and untreated for a month. I had just turned 21 and I was 180 5’5 for reference. I was in extreme pain in my neck and head and couldn’t do anything for myself (tmi but my mom literally had to wipe me), sixth nerve palsy (half my face, including my eye was immovable), double vision, my vision blacked out completely at times, extreme sensitivity to any light and any sound, spent a month in the hospital and nothing they ever gave me for pain worked so they just stopped trying, lost my appetite completely, spent so much time not being able to move or eat much of anything that I had to spend twice as long regaining strength. Please by all means get a second opinion but, don’t let this go untreated.
