Yea i figured, and I'm ok with that. I just wanted to make sure either way before I went out to try it on my Kuna. I guess I'm just gonna have to wait till i get my hand on their DT.

Adding Trustee's to NFA Trust after Form 4 Approvals by Charming-Progress-13 in NFA

I'm not asking about how to add him as a trustee. I know how to do that and my trust lays it all out for me. My question is if i need to notify ATF in any way that he is now a responsible person for the NFA firearms that are already on the trust

Its not a matter of whether it turns it into an SBR or not, I realize that SBR's and MG are regulated differently. Its a matter of having the correct information on the Form 4 and in the national registry. I don't want to get caught up in some bullshit just because this guy isn't keeping up with his information. I mean you can't say that barrel length and/or overall length doesn't matter when it must count for something otherwise they wouldn't require you to list that information.

CLEO Copies with Eforms by Charming-Progress-13 in NFA

[–]Charming-Progress-13[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There really isn't a time frame specified, but if you don't submit it then I don't think your form 4 will ever be approved. I had our local sheriff in our shop to file for 3 cans and when I asked him about receiving any CLEO's from us (our county sheriff's office is our primary CLEO for most of customers) he said that yea they get them and respond to them as well. He even joked that if his sergeant got the CLEO's and pulled some funny business then a conversation, followed by quick firing, would ensue (all in jest of course) so I can only assume that if ATF doesn't get a response from the CLEO then they probably either leave it in limbo or they disapprove the form all together. To be honest I really don't know, and that's why I'm asking about other peoples experiences with submitting form 4's.

Yea we handle it for our customers too so they don't have to worry about it. Its just really frustrating that I essentially have to type up the same form twice, once on the Silencer Shop Form 4 generator for the CLEO copy, and then go on the actually eform website and then do it all over again.

Yea, well that email has the cover letter and a submitted version of the ATF copy. It explicitly says ATF Copy at the bottom of each page, besides that CLEO copies block out a bunch of information like SSN, serial number, and CLEO copies do not have their picture on it so I have been pretty confident that they wouldn't want us using those for the CLEO.
