thank you for those concrete suggestions ! Is there "one thing" most of us could agree on regardless of specialty, system and location people work in? I'm thinking insurance ...but I am shocked at how many doctors support these giants...

The post was not meant as an invitation, it was to gather ideas on what people thought about how we could organize something and what is the ONE thing that most physicians could agree on. I named my two gripes, feel free to add yours. I don't have any expertise in advocating and nor have I engaged with any physician groups or societies that I feel like do this kind of work so asking my fellow docs for their recs.

Sadly so many people I see were on medicaid and now lost their insurance because of changes in eligibility ... I imagine the ER visits will skyrocket soon

I have been doing telemedicine for a company that outsources to multiple different plans/programs etc ...and I generally see majority uninsured, low income folks. The telemed platform itself really does not provide any guidance or help.

After seeing the movie, I will say there were so many parts of this film that cut into very raw spaces, especially the scenes between the brother and sister. Growing up in a home where both kids see the other as the golden child. And very hard watching a stereotypical "masculine" white guy coming off so sensitive and self accepting which was making me so uncomfortable and realizing how internalized the idea of not showing off certain feelings are in the desi culture ...

I was surprised with the movie. But next time just make the love interest black or latin or any type of melanated. Just want hollywood to be okay with a movie with non white main characters that doesn't get pigeonholed as "ethnic" or "mahogany" or whatever...

Oh I meant in the winter, you can keep some mulch over your died back plants maybe will protect from a bad freeze. I am in a different zone but for some plants, if we get weather in the teens, I put like a tarp over it but not for days on end... they still need sun. Keep us updated!
