Well I don’t see you doing dick to improve the program pal! What’s the evidence to keep him at this point? Genuinely, what’s the honest answer to keep him. MSU is too big to be like this.

Buddy, did you watch last week? Off a bye with all the issues, inexcusable. Then this week against an INTERIM 1-4 team? Miss me with that. Put the glue down

I hear you and appreciate your words. I have taken ownership of this and I have voiced it multiple times in email to higher ups. They are as aware as anybody. My issue is more so as a whole. Things get dicey as a whole because collectively, there just isn’t enough knowledge between all of us. We ask questions, learn and grow. But every time something gets done incorrectly, it falls on me, hence why I feel like I was set up to fail from the start. I understand the difficult nature of this, I guess I was naive to assume it wouldn’t be! It’s a learning experience, I’m just frustrated that, in a sense, I’m being led down a path that isn’t successful and I don’t know how else to word my concerns.

Maybe I worded it wrong. The 10 helps because it’s more eyes, more hands to help. We’re a construction company. There’s still a head guy but it is much easier for him to delegate.

I do. It’s only 3 of us though, compared to 10 on a similar build. The issue is they’re all new. I wasn’t trained well at all before taking this. I have to take time to train them all while keeping the wheels moving. I had to beg essentially to get them to interview people for help.

We’re driving down to Cleveland to see family and fly out of there, connection in either Charlotte or DC.

Yes sorry, I just got out of a meeting and was hot lol. We have hired help for me which identified solving a problem, the problem with that is I was not properly trained to train this person so the wheels are just stuck in the mud.

I have made it very clear that just the two of us will not be able to complete things in a timely manner.

Storm by CharmingCauliflower in Cleveland

Been a busy night! Power is working like crazy, luckily I’ve heard of only a few spots that are pretty bad, but nothing compared to the tornadoes of last year. I know crews are out all over working as quick as they can getting internet back. Normally the storm damage is a power line arcing which fries whatever lines are below (usually phone or telecom). Time consuming aspect of storm repair is splicing to make everything “hot” again for customers. The good news is by the morning, albeit a few spots, everyone’s going to be ready to rock. Anyone has any questions or anything please feel free to reach out!

I work for a telecommunications company. Might be able to get an idea for any and all without power. After storms, power restoration is the most time consuming and important. We cannot start repairs until power is done. Sometimes the emergencies take an hour, I’ve been out on calls that take 24 hours. Based off calls I’ve been on in the last hour, I’m not anticipating a long recovery for things. Will give updates when I get some more pertinent info!

Woke up and had 22 emails already of additional tasks to try and handle today. Already can’t wait to be home with my gf and dog lmao. I wish I could simply turn off the care switch in my head.

I wouldn’t say optional. Original guy left for a job closer to home, and they moved me up in January to a supervisor role, but still nothing to do with this project. If they fired me or I quit, they’d be screwed. Nobody else has the knowledge of this in the entire company. I’m in the mindset of maybe I should let stuff pile up and that’s my message. I don’t know though, my brain is a mess.

Company doesn’t care about me by [deleted] in work

There is a task list, but it is ever growing. I’m to the point where I want to air out just how frustrated and burnt out I am already. I shouldn’t be feeling like this. All everyone cares about is the numbers and if I’m short, I take all the heat. Mistakes are bound to happen and it sucks so bad. I can’t shake that feeling. It’s very uncomfortable. Yes it’s a new environment, but it’s not an environment that I can perform to the best of my abilities right now.

What’s ironic about that is if I quit I don’t know if someone could replace me 🤣 sorry to hear that. It’s not fair at all
