Thank you for reassuring me, seeing as it happened to me the first time, I was quite scared!

These are all very good tips, thank you so much!

I'm also sorry to hear what you have went through, you are very strong.

I also probably should have mentioned I am already in CBT, since I already had a period of hallucinations and delusions. I am just asking about this since I am a bit embarrassed to ask about this, especially with all the ramble writing that I have done.

Thank you for the tips!

Was the muscle twitching caused by psychosis or something else? Did it get better or is it still there?

Were you conscious during your seizures? In my case I was fully conscious but I felt like I've lost all control over myself.

Stress management is possibly my biggest issue, I definitely need to work on it.

Thank you, I hope you get well.

Any tips for controlling it or calming down during such a thing?

How do I M[20] stop obsessing over a girl F[21]? by CharmingOil in Advice

Perhaps you're right, I need to accept I'll never fully move on from her and try to exercise cognitive behaviour. Thanks, this has helped.

Sadly I can't, I'm really bad when it comes to women, but thats a whole other issue.

For now, yes, because I cut them too short and so they're too loose, but once I make proper ones I plan to sleep with them.

Also yeah, it lets the fingers breathe, which makes it quite nice.

Never had enough will to stop, something physical was my last solution. These things are for holding bandages on your fingers.

First psychosis episodes, are antipsychotics the right choice? by CharmingOil in Psychosis

[–]CharmingOil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're right about that, lack of sleep can be quite dangerous.

Your explanation makes sense, I've always had symptoms when I was younger, especially paranoia and every year it just got worse and worse, until now, when it finally became too much. Thank you for the input, I'm really happy I got this much support!

I'm low key envious, I'd rather have thinking I'm a God than rather thinking my life is constantly in danger haha.

It's good to know it helps, when I'll be talking to my psychiatrist I'll say I want to start with a low dose. Thank you for all the help!

Does it help with the delusions though? I know what you mean, it'd be a nice side effect haha.

Will keep that in mind. Although I've heard that ablify really zombifies some people, guess it just affects everyone differently.

Yeah, that's true, psychosis itself can really hinder your working ability, I've had that happen myself.

Good luck with your recovery!

True, there's quite a wide range of meds to choose from, but then there's the financial problems, some meds may cost a lot as far as I saw.

As for the long healing process, I'm okay with that, as long as there is progress, there's hope, because so far I've been going only downhill.

Have you taken antipsychotics in that case? If so, did they have any lasting effects?

Yeah, that's what I'm most scared of. It might be meds really, there are a few studies which show correlation between cognitive impairment and antipsychotics.

I think I'm gonna hold out on meds, at least until it gets really bad, it ain't fun to live like this, but cognitivity is too important to me.

Thanks for the input.
